It took one slower pop song for posters to claim Post was no longer a filler nomination and is now the front runner to win the whole thing. And now anyone who isn’t budging is now being called delusional for it.

I don’t get this either. Just last year most would agree he is filler. He’s not winning anything in the GF (don’t worry, neither is Dua Lipa).  At best, he’s competitive in Pop Vocal Album.

“Perfect Way to Die” is such an emotional song. I am hooked ever since Alicia dropped it. It’s so haunting. I need it to show up in ROTY/SOTY.

Polo G deserves to be in Rap Album. Flex featuring Juice WRLD goes hard. Love the instrumental.

ROTY & SOTY: Blinding Lights & Don’t Start Now
BNA: Megan Thee Stallion or Rina Sawayama
    Rap Album: RTJ4
    Pop Album: SAWAYAMA
    Rock Album: The New Abnormal

I don’t believe anyone ever called him the frontrunner to win. Nevertheless, it’s odd that you would consider the artist with the biggest album of the eligibility window “filler.”

It doesn’t matter. Would you say Drake’s Scorpion wasn’t a filler nom? Weren’t you the same one saying Ariana was a filler nom last year despite her having the biggest album/era behind Billie?

Having the biggest album in contention doesn’t prevent you from being nothing more than a filler nominee. I don’t see what appeal he’s attained in the past couple years to say he has a chance of winning any general field awards.

And it’s especially funny downplaying 2x Grammy winner Dua Lipa in one sentence and then making the case for Harry Styles in the other.

I never did get an answer to what I asked in the previous chat. A new song named “Stay” was recently released from Alison Krauss, but what award can it be submitted for considering the fact that its from an album by a guy known for his piano playing, Matt Rollings that is?

God bless you and him and Alison always!!!

So… she didn’t have the biggest album? Common sense is severely lacking.

I find it despicable that as of recently you have to win AOTY is by pop infused:

    2015: 1989 (synthpop)

    2016: 25 (pop)

    2017: 24k Magic (r&b and pop)

2018: golden hour (pop infused country)

2019 when we all fall asleep, where do we go? (alternative/electropop)

That really limits Fiona’s chancesa big, but honestly I hope she wins, so she can break this stereotypical mold.

Honey, what in the Paula Cole is going on?  I can NOT believe posters keep asking if DaBaby is eligible for Best New Artist.

He was eligible last year, yet voters snubbed him. Strange. He’s obviously not in the mix this year, though.

I feel like both DaBaby and especially Megan was snubbed last year. Im still shocked Megan got nothing. Fever deserved a Best Rap Album nomination.
