I don’t think JIK has anything to do in the rap category. I mean it will kill all it’s chances for a nomination. I really wonder if the gospel voters will be willing to accept this different type of worshipping music.

And yeah, WUITB is brilliant. God’s Country is certainly going in Rap Album, only to get snubbed by something inferior (like with Yeezus, Pablo, etc)

People forget that a lot of people hated Yeezus when it came out, even a lot of his fans hated it. Kanye literally won Rap Album four albums in a row for albums with relatively chill production, and then Kanye snapped on Yeezus and showed us crazy angry Kanye and he didn’t even get a nomination. Public opinion eventually warmed up to Yeezus, but those beats just went too hard and the world wasn’t ready. Now maybe the world has caught up and will be ready for Yeezus 2.0 when God’s Country drops.

Hollywood’s Bleeding will most likely be snubbed from AOTY

Yeezus is like his 3rd best album for me. I still play that album heavily

I feel the same about Yeezus today as I felt when it was first released: fantastic first four songs then a bunch of rambling and dawdling. Starts off fire then pulls back and becomes safe and drab. I’ll honestly take ‘Pablo’ over it.

Listen Idiot Awards Voters, give as many awards as you possibly can to these albums:

Fiona Apple- Fetch the Bolt Cutters
Perfume Genius- Set My Heart On Fire Immediately
Hiam- Women in Music Part lll
    Ka- Descendants of Cain
    Waxahatchee- Saint Cloud
Run the Jewels- Run the Jewels 4

Ooof don’t do Blood on The Leaves dirty like that! Hold My Liquor and Send it Up are also some of my favorite Kanye tracks and all these tracks are on the second half of the Yeezus. I actually love every song on Yeezus except for Guilt Trip is my only skip. I also love Pablo but I actually think the quality is much more consistent on Yeezus.

That is the only time I have ever heard Yeezus described as being too “safe” lmfao.

Alicia Keys better not be in the GF before any indie acts. I’m sorry but I don’t need an Alicia Keys jack off in SOTY, nor do I think it will happen.

    FYC:
AOTY: Fetch the Bolt Cutters or After Hours
ROTY & SOTY: Blinding Lights & Don’t Start Now
BNA: Megan Thee Stallion or Rina Sawayama
    Rap Album: RTJ4
    Pop Album: SAWAYAMA
    Rock Album: The New Abnormal
    R&B Performance: Do It

The second half left me bored. If the same energy from the first half had kept up then we’d be talking.

Alicia Keys’ two songs are super baity and a live performance from an intimate venue with her playing the piano would make for good television. Honestly the world has gone through a traumatic event this year, and the hundreds of thousands of people who have died and also the front line workers do deserve to be honored. She is the artist who has given them the best tribute that I am aware of. I don’t think it is the best music of the year, but “Good Job” is beautiful and I would not be mad to see her get a slot in SOTY.
