“Perfect Way to Die” is honestly one of the best songs of the year. I need it to be in Song of the Year. All of the songs Alicia are releasing are very timely. I think if she continues on this path a R&B album win isn’t out of reach. Or maybe a AOTY nomination. But you never know. She could get shut out altogether.

I know he swept last year .. but why are we not paying attention to “Blood Harmony” by FINNEAS. I mean this man just swept the Grammys last year. I think a Pop Vocal Nod isn’t out of reach.

By the way, i’m starting to think that Billie will get into SOTY and will be excluded from Pop Solo. Doja might take her place in Pop Solo along with Harry, Dua, Post and Abel.

“I Don’t Miss You At All” sounds like something I’d see in ROTY/SOTY.

Lady Gaga is long overdue for a General Field win. Unlike Abel, Gaga was actually competitive and deserved to win at least three times in the past (excluding the ever hurting snub for Bad Romance). I hope the Grammys are taking note

    FYC:

Chromatica: Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album.

Rain On Me: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Music Video.

    Alice: Best Pop Solo Performance

Gaga isn’t winning any GF awards for Chromatica. Her biggest shot is in PVA.

Your predictions seem solid with the exception of “Say So” (in my opinion).

While technically one of the biggest records of the year, I have a feeling the Recording Academy is going to want to distance themselves from Doja Cat given her controversies… problematic music, problematic behavior and problematic associates (Dr. Luke). I think they will snub her to stay away from bad press… especially after last year’s PR mess.

Get real!  Lady Gaga is NOT long overdue for a General Field win.  You must be smoked out to think that.

The Suga EP is not paying that much attention to in the GF. She if not Doja Cat is the frontrunner in BNA, so why wouldn’t you want the album to be in AOTY.

    FYC:
AOTY: Fetch the Bolt Cutters or After Hours
ROTY & SOTY: Blinding Lights & Don’t Start Now
BNA: Megan Thee Stallion or Rina Sawayama
    Rap Album: RTJ4
    Pop Album: SAWAYAMA
    Rock Album: The New Abnormal
    R&B Performance: Do It

Exactly. “Say So” is going to be this year’s big snub. It was a big hit, but the person behind it is a douche and it’s honestly not even that good of a song.

I can see Doja getting into BNA and ROTY, with no genre nominations. I can also seeing the organization only giving her a BNA nomination and nothing else.

I still think they’re going to knock out one of those “retro” songs. “Don’t Start Now” and “Blinding Lights” are safer than “Say So.”

Say So’s path to Record of the Year will end the moment voters hear Dr. Luke’s name in the credits.
