I bet Alicia Keys’ Underdog is all over the General Field this year. The Academy loves her.

I’m really curious to see who they deem eligible for Best New Artist this year. It could be a stacked year with Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Morgan Wallen, Lewis Capaldi, Alec Benjamin, Tones and I, Gabby Barrett, Saint Jhn, Jack Harlow, Lil Mosey, Lauv, Conan Gray, Trevor Daniel, Roddy Ricch (if he is eligible after winning last year). I know there will be a bunch of nobody’s nominated, but this could be a really competitive year for BNA.

OMG ROddy Ricch and Da Baby are both not eligible. Megan wouldnt be eligible either if it wasn’t for the rule change this year since last year really was her breakthrough year.

is Stay High by Brittany Howard eligible for this year’s Grammys despite being submitted for its video the last cycle?
according to the Grammy rules: “If a single is released one year and the music video is released in a different eligibility year, both are
eligible in their respective years, even if the music video was nominated or won a GRAMMY Award.”.
Stay High was released as a single during previous eligibility period, but only submitted for its video. this year it could contend as an album track, yes?

My friend just sent me two links because she listens to me talk about this forum and knows I’m interested. One link is from Billboard and the other is from a random channel. They seem a little pandering but I want to know what you guys think. Keep in mind that their order seems random.

Btw I’m kicking myself for needing the second video to realise how good FKA Twigs, RTJ, and The Highwomen are. The latter two seem like they’re going to smash their genre categories, for sure!

    Billboard’s Top 9: https://youtu.be/4E2d824rVCk

    1. Harry Styles, Fine Line
    2. Dua Lipa, Future Nostalgia
    3. BTS, Map of the Soul: 7

    8. Summer Walker, Over It
    9. Kanye West, Jesus Is King

billboard is always off, you’re right in saying they’re pandering. but the list of 20 seems pretty reasonable assuming it was intended in no particular order.

I watched Hamilton over The Weeknd and I cannot believe people waited in line for hours and paid thousands for resale tickets for this snooze fest. I love Lin Manuel, I loved In The Heights, watched it twice on Broadway but this shit was BORING and it drags! I get that there is a difference in watching a musical on the main stage than on television. But never in my mind would I pay for such a boring musical. The stage set design is ugly and dark, there are barely any costume changes and only some of the songs are cute. This shit was OVERRATED! OVER HYPED! Only shit old white people will like! A mess.
