The committee is going to block Billie from the GF since she just swept, but I have her as the 5th slot for pop solo. As for Doja, ROTY seems to be her biggest nomination alongside BNA for Say So (the solo version only). I don’t think she is reaching any genre categories with Hot Pink, unless voters really DO like her.

MMM… I don’t think so. Everything I Wanted has been big in worldwide charts and was written for only two people, which is appreciable for those who vote in this category.

Also, It wouldn’t be strange to ser her nominated again there. Remember last year when Gaga was for Always Remember Us This Way even when she’d been in 2019 for Shallow.

And I think Billie won’t be considered for BPSP with this song. There are two ways: She will submit No Time To Die or any other artist with a more stronger vocal performance will be considered instead of her, like Céline Dion (Courage), Demi Lovato (Anyone) or Beyoncé (Black Parade).

It's weird how British people say "lift" instead of "elevator" and how my dad says "you're disappointing" instead of "I love you".

    So what is?

WTF. It’s one of the most importart pop collaboration of these years and had positive reviews.

Adore you, Circles, Don’t Start Now, Blinding lights and Say So seems the likely line up in Pop Solo imo. But I wouldn’t mind everything i wanted instead of Say So, not a fan of doja girl at all.

I can lock Blinding Lights, Don’t Start Now, Circles and add Stupid Love (because, you know, they love Gaga). The other two IMO seem to be considered only for ROTY or SOTY.

Given Grammys’ history for following up artist GF nominations with more in subsequent ceremonies (think H.E.R., Carlile, Post…) what are the chances Disclosure sneaks in another GF nomination this time round. I could see it happening with ‘Tondo’ a cute bop or any other decent cut from ENERGY, which also could land in AOTY I suppose…?

    Zero chance of happening.

My point was that I don’t think a couple of them are newbies, which is whatever. But don’t play captain save-a-poster as if you haven’t trolled people and randomly gone in on posters.

I don’t agree with that. If anyone is going to win AOTY because of the political climate, it would be Run the Jewels.

The Weeknd is assisted by the current political climate and the fact that no black artist has won AOTY in a decade. But he’s the slight front-runner mostly because of sales, being respected and having decent acclaim. However, if RTJ and Roddy gets it there that will not help him out.

trolled who? I don’t call people newbies, I call them out on their predictions and takes on albums. Stay pressed.

Edit: also didn’t I say he won’t get nominated?

RTJ have not been a force to be reckoned with. Roddy could split votes, but they have different voting blocks. It’s just that they are Black that they are similar.
