i’m here for taylor 100% but i feel like this ruins phoebe bridger’s 1% chance at making the general field for some reason

Actually looking forward to this Taylor album…loads of new music getting released tomorrow. Regarding the Grammys, it’s too early to tell whether the album be a success. However, SOTY is so weak this year I think Taylor may get in there.

taylor, please release exile as a single so my boy justin can get another grammy nomination, this time in pop duo, who would’ve guessed!

and SOTY please! last time he only made it to ROTY.

its not lol. The song is not coming out until August, it was just a teaser that came out today, and no one is even sure who the surprise feature is.

Taylor will get an AOTY nod. She can win cause this album will definitely be safer than After Hours.

It sounds like Taylor’s new album is going to be a mix of Pop and Country, like Red. The lyrics are goign to be killer: Taylor has so much juicy material to work with. Hopefully the production value is still strong: I wonder if working in isolation may have ruined the cohesiveness of some songs.

This comes at the perfect time for me because I just finished listening to all of Taylor’s country albums in full (minus her debut) and gained a lot of appreciation for her country era. There’s so many forgotten bops from those eras like Starlight, You’re Not Sorry, and Tell Me Why; and tearjerkers like The Best Day and Never Grow Up. I hope we get more songs like those in this next album.

Also, can we talk about how Taylor recorded this album in 5 months during a quarantine and it still has more tracks than 1989 and Reputation. She’s been real busy.

And she will be busy whole year because of re-recording.

Chinese people must be going crazy about folkfare. Can she beat her record of 1 million debut there?

She won’t submit to Pop but I can see her being moved there.

Her best bet is to try and get into Americana or American Roots Song/Performance.

I dont think that even if the album is amazing and acclaimed that she should be accepted in AOTY. I mean, give other deserving acts a chance. She’s already won twice.

No, we don’t need AOTY anytime soon. Let give others a chance too.

Can we wait to call Taylor Swift’s Album AOTY? I love that she is going to her alternative/country roots, but I don’t trust that she will do as well longevity wise. Will she have a huge single(s) that will help her out? I hope she can maintain the hype and actually have critical acclaim, but will that be enough in a saturated field full with Fiona Apple (the queen of critical acclaim atm), Grammy favorite Brandi Carlile back with the Highwomen, and the revival of the Dixie Chicks?

But having Bon Iver as feature. Aaron Dessner of the National and Jack Antonoff on production?  Okay girl I see you. Didn’t need to pop off!
