Dr. Lewwke songwriting contributions are >33% of the playing time of Hot Pink. If Doja scores 4/4 GF nods, he will make it to the big 3.

Unless a non-Dr. Luke song becomes a hit, in order to snub him, she can only receive the following nominations.

    • Best New Artist
    • Pop Solo: Say So
    • R&B Performance: Cyber Sex
    • R&B Song: Cyber Sex
    • Rap/Sung: Juicy
    • Urban Contemporary Album (he’ll only win a Grammy if she wins the category, but Summer Walker might be a bigger contender than her)
    • BMV: Juicy (released prior to last’s year’s deadline, but apparently she didn’t submit nothing last year. clever move).

songs in italic were written by Dr. Luke

“Circles” is the most likely of anything else released to win ROTY and/or SOTY, but it’s still very early and a lot could happen. I doubt it will be the frontrunner by the time we make it to summer.

Post Malone is never ever winning a GF grammy.

Hope Harry Styles gets nominated. They unfairly disregarded him for his brilliant self titled solo debut.

Kendrick is dropping in this cycle so we know where the rap grammys are headed to. Unless he shuns them and  doesn’t submit like Frank did.

The Weeknd at this point is the front runner for Urban Contemporary album(album out soon). I can see Blinding Lights in pop. I can see Brent Faiyaz in for Urban Contemporary Album.

Where would 070 Shake submit to? Pop? She has appeared on Kanye’s Ye(twice), Pusha’s Daytona and Nas’ Nasir thus far. Modus Vivendi has a metascore of 80 with an 8.0/10 user score.

    Anyways Pop field predictions

    POP SOLO PERFORMANCE
    1. Post Malone – Circles
    2. Dua Lipa – Don’t Start Now
    3. The Weeknd – Blinding Lights
    4. Harry Styles – Adore You
    5. Maren Morris – The Bones
Alt: Doja Cat – Say So

    POP DUO/GROUP PERFORMANCE
    1. Maroon 5 – Memories
    2. Camila Cabello feat. DaBaby – My Oh My
    3. Lizzo feat. Ariana Grande – Good As Hell (Remix)
    4. Post Malone feat. Travis Scott & Ozzy Osbourne – Take What You Want
    5. Justin Bieber feat. Quave – Intentions
Alt: Jonas Brothers – What A Man Gotta Do

    POP VOCAL ALBUM
    1. Dua Lipa – Future Nostalgia
    2. Post Malone – Hollywood’s Bleeding
    3. Harry Styles – Fine Line
    4. Halsey – MANIC
    5. Camila Cabello – Romance
Alt: Ariana Grande – K Bye For Now (Sweetener World Tour Live)

I think Billie could get shut out like Gaga and relegated to Visual Media and maybe SOTY.

I don’t think they will throw Maren Morris in Pop for “The Bones.” It’s a country song… even if it is popular. Otherwise I agree with your Pop Solo picks.

In Pop Duo/Group, I only see Post Malone/Ozzy/Travis making the final line-up. Maybe Bieber/Quavo if that song has staying power. I’m assuming the other nominees will be songs that have yet to be released. Maybe the new SZA & Justin Timberlake disco track?

I agree with 4/5 of your Pop Album picks, only differing on Halsey. They just don’t like her for whatever reason. If she couldn’t get in with “Without Me”, I don’t think she ever will. The other spot will either go to Gaga or Sam Smith.

Sam Smith is over with the Grammys. We go through this every year.

I enjoyed it, I thought it was fun and showed potential from him-just definitely was not AOTY-worthy which is something everyone could agree on.

Imo it was. With songs like F9mily(You & me), C7osure(You Like) and Bring You Down; he didn’t confine himself to the ‘type’ of music you’d expect. The EP was extremely well produced with production credits from Boi-1da, Travis Barker and Ryan Tedder. Old Town Road is the longest-running number 1 in billboard history(already certified Diamond btw), Panini peaked at #5 on the hot 100(certified multi-platinum) and Rodeo is certified platinum ICYDK: He is just 20.

But he isn’t the ’17’ year old caucasian girl talking about seducing your dad so I guess he was undeserving.

The EP was extremely well produced with production credits from Boi-1da, Travis Barker and Ryan Tedder. Included the longest-running number 1 in billboard history(already certified Diamond btw) and had a second top 5. ICYDK: He is just 20.

    What does this prove?

And not everything is about race. 🙄 Billie had one of the most acclaimed albums of 2019 whie Lil Nas’s EP didn’t even crack 60 on Metacritic… but yes, it’s an act of racism to point out the fact that he didn’t deserve that nomination.

    What does this prove?

For starters, all the producers mentioned have had grammy nominated work(s).

And not everything is about race. 🙄 Billie had one of the most acclaimed albums of 2019 whie Lil Nas’s EP didn’t even crack 60 on Metacritic… but yes, it’s an act of racism to point out the fact that he didn’t deserve that nomination.

TPAB, GKMC, Channel Orange, Lemonade, 4:44, DAMN., Dirty Computer….these are just are few of recent projects by black artists that had good/better acclaim and didn’t win any major awards. The grammys are not yet done being racist so I’m not yet done pointing that out(I will not tire)

I don’t think he’s ever winning a Grammy, not even a genre one. I see him as another Katy Perry.
