Honey, a 92 is still too damn high for Future Nostalgia.  The bitch did NOT change the game. At best, Dua Lipa should’ve gotten between 60-70 on Metacritic.

With reviews like its getting, even settling in the 80s, it will be hard for Grammys to ignore Dua, especially with so many other titles likely getting delayed. It’s a really fun and upbeat album at a time when people need that. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s still a really solid album that will likely be a big contender next year. There’s potential for another summer hit on there too.

Another solid album today is Jessie Reyez. She was just nominated surprisingly for an EP / mixtape, so she isn’t eligible for New Artist, but she could be in Contemporary Album contention again this year. So far she hasn’t had a breakthrough to get more than that, but I hope she does!

I listened to the album three times yesterday and is it a great one? Yes, but an 80 would be fine, 90 is too much and calling this album perfect is a straight up lie.

The last three songs are not good enough compared to the start and middle of the same album, it lacks innovation and people are going nuts for it just because it is a disco/funk album and everytime an artist touches those genres people act like it’s the most creative thing in the world. Vocally it’s unimpressive, lyrically it’s meh, it’s fine, the production and tempo it’s what makes the album so great since it has a lot of style and songs 1-8 are all pretty great and highlight the album, but 9, 10 and 11 are just basic pop songs that sound more like Lily Allen and Charli XCX than Dua Lipa.

Ask again: Does “Hollywood’s bleeding” by Post Malone have a shot at AoTY nomination?

Most likely, post has already been nominated and Hollywood did well with sales and critics

Honey, that little monster is still delusional.  Lady Gaga will NOT be anywhere near Album of the Year.  “Stupid Love” flopped. Chromatica feels like it will be a disappointment.

Just heard Hallucinate. Maybe that 99 Metacritic score is justified.

I know it won’t happen, but I would love to see Lauv score some nominations! Modern Loneliness is a fantastic pop song, and How I’m Feeling is a great album. The only reason he hasn’t been nominated before is because he is more or less an independent artist. It won’t happen, but I can always hope I guess!

Future Nostalgia is decent. I don’t really get the hype over it. She is a contender for a win in the two pop categories and will likely receive 1-2 GF nominations as a filler. There is no way this wins AOTY or even ROTY.

Don’t Start Now is the biggest song from the era and the most successful. It would be wise for her to use the that song. Plus it’s having great longevity in the BB100.

    Her Submissions might be

Future Nostalgia – AOTY & BPVA
Don’t Start Now – ROTY, SOTY, & BPSP
    Break My Heart – BMV

I think Dua label could end up doing this as well.

Future Nostalgia – AOTY & BPVA
Don’t Start Now – Best Dance Recording, ROTY, SOTY
    Physical – BPSP
    Break My Heart – BMV

I really think they should do:

    Future Nostalgia – BPVP/AOTY
    Don’t Start Now – ROTY/SOTY
Break My Heart – Pop Solo/Music Video

I think Break My Heart is going to be a really big hit this summer. I wish it was Cool or Levitating though.

She without a though deserves to win Best Pop Vocal Album.
