    New spotify entries today:

    Turks at #1 with 1.7M.

Believe it, by PARTYNEXTDOOR and Rihanna at #6 with 1.1M

Break My Heart by Dua Lipa at #7 with 971k.

Can someone explain to me why Dua’s numbers are so underwhelming on Spotify? Did she release midday or something? Because usually you’d see top20 on Spotify full of new songs, but this time there are only 2 songs by Dua Lipa in the top20.

Haven’t streaming #’s gone down because of the pandemic ?

Releasing new music at this time will be rough. Artists are setting themselves up for disappointment.

Her streaming numbers have never been strong in the US. The fact that she has 5 songs in the top50 on Spotify US is a huge improvement from her debut. She’s doing much better on the Global Charts tho.

I think Dua will be the Lana of the year. She’ll be the strong critics darling that end up being nominated in the GF. I don’t think she’ll win though.

But she will definitely be nominated in the Pop Categories unlike Lana.

She should be getting 4-5 nominations.

I would consider her more of the Ariana Grande. Getting AOTY and ROTY noms while also being frontrunners for the Pop categories (minus Pop Duo).

Honey, Ariana Grande was NOT the frontrunners for the Pop categories.  Bad comparison.

Ariana was not the frontrunner though. Ariana would’ve easily won if Billie wasn’t in contention. Billie just had the bigger album.

I think Dua’s best chance at this point is Best Pop Solo Performance, but even there she may be facing “Everything I Wanted” and “Blinding Lights”.

Pop Vocal Album will probably be between Gaga and The Weeknd. I’m not sure Dua will debut at #1.  She needs big sales to win this category.

Get real!  Best Pop Vocal Album is NOT probably between Lady Gaga and The Weeknd.  First, Gaga’s album will be forgotten by Grammy time.  Second, The Weeknd will compete in Best Urban Contemporary Album.  Your precious Lady Gaga is NOT happening.

The best selling album doesn’t always win Pop Vocal; Sweetener was way, way behind Reputation and Beautiful Trauma sold more I believe.

The hype is what matters. If Dua manages to keep herself busy and gets a few other hits, she can definitely win. Right now I think her most likely wins are Pop Solo Performance (not buying Billie sweeping again, and The Weeknd is not that well liked by whoever votes in pop to be a lock), and Best Music Video if Physical gets a nod. Everything else is up in the air.

I have no idea who’s winning Pop Vocal. Chromatica seems like an afterthought and the lead single is not helping its case, Post Malone ain’t winning shit, and Harry Styles is probably gonna face the boy-band stigma. I could honestly see all of the 4 above winning but all of their cases have big flaws.

I also feel like Future Nostalgia is more of a lock in AOTY than Pop Vocal. She could totally get Lorde’d.

    You’re a dreamer, you dream a lot.

If The Weeknd submits to Pop then it’s between him and Dua.

Well, if Adele actually releases her album and meets the deadline she is winning in pop since I doubt they’ll let her sweep GF again. And would probably left Post Malone or Harry with no nominations, since Post Malone isn’t all that in the pop field and Harry has the boy band past which the Grammys only overlook to an extent for JT.

Girls, Everything I Wanted is not happening in a million years. It’s more likely that she’ll release a completely different song before the deadline, and submits that.
