I think Dua has it in the bag for BPVA. Break My Heart is heading towards another big moment. Chromatica had what, 2 songs charting for a few weeks? And it won’t be a good album based on the first 2 songs.

    But Gaga is a name-check.

Dua could be vulnerable. That album has lost a lot of momentum.

Are we sure Future Nostalgia is locked in BPVA? Pop voters tend to favor either 1. Best sellers or 2. Big Names. Taking last year as a example, we had: WWAFA,WDWG? (best seller) Lover (best seller and big name) Thank U, Next (best seller and big name) No.6 Collaborations Project (big name) The Gift (big name)

I’m sure it will be nominated but not so sure it will win as many users here seem to think.

I think Gaga could take it.

I think Dua Lipa is very likely in. Her album was just very well liked and it has a massive hit and will probably have a second one.

But whether it wins or not, it’s a different story. It’s too early to tell.

i think this will be the first year in a while where there won’t be any clear front runners or favorites in pop.

If Chromatica is received well . I would put Gaga on the top as well.

You clearly weren’t reading these threads a year and a half ago. It was widely predicted a toss up between Sweetener and reputation. Sweetener was embraced more with nods but reputation was bigger and better selling. In the end, Sweetener won. Almost everyone else was a non-factor.

Yes I was, everyone was sure of Loose shutdown. On several forums. Pop vocal was between Camila and MOL until the other got popular during voting period w album release. These threads dont mean much, nor do fraudmys. All 5 gays on this forum can predict fantasies like Lorde win, but reality is that it will never happen irl, neither have a career for example.

    Romance - now platinum certified!

I thought Good as Hell was ineligible? The original that is.

I thought Good as Hell was ineligible? The original that is.

It was on this year’s re-release of Cuz I Love You and presumably recorded within the last 5 years, so it might be eligible. If not, or if the Ariana remix is submitted to Pop Duo/Group, then I think “Adore You” or “Say So” would emerge as the fifth nominee.

The fact that they specifically re-released her album to include both versions of “Good as Hell” makes me think it’s a strategic decision, much like it was to re-release the album originally with “Truth Hurts,” which otherwise would have been ineligible. Although it could just have been a business decision to capitalize on the success of “Good as Hell.”

If that’s the case, then Lizzo would be a sensible nominee. Good as Hell was a top 3 sizable hit. Good will from her win here last time.
