Halsey will likely get in before Demi. Camila stands a better chance as well.

Are we sure Future Nostalgia is locked in BPVA? Pop voters tend to favor either 1. Best sellers or 2. Big Names. Taking last year as a example, we had:

    WWAFA,WDWG? (best seller)

Lover (best seller and big name)

Thank U, Next (best seller and big name)

    No.6 Collaborations Project (big name)

    The Gift (big name)

Your post is way too sensible for people

Demi is a previous nominee though. Halsey’s 2 noms are for features.

I think there will be a tie in Pop Vocal. Usually happens in weak years like this one, specially since there are rumors that the pop field has been voted for a very small portion of voters recently.

Yeah that’s true but Demi doesn’t have any hits as big as Halsey. Halsey also sells better and does better on streaming. Plus a lot of people thought without Me was snubbed so them extending the courtesy and giving her a filler BPVA nod seems plausible enough.

I’ve said this before, I have a hunch Demi will get into album. She’s got better history than the other girlies, and a good enough narrative.

I hope Demi’s album comes before the deadline. If that’s the case, she will definitely be a main contender in the Pop Field.

I’m also wondering whether BTS can get in purely on their list placement.

I don’t remember if it was you Boz (or someone else) who said this, but i’ll “quote” it again. BTS are under the Grammys’ radar. They are voters and have been noticed by the Recording Academy multiple times. They even had an interview about their last album, so i wouldn’t be surprised if they get a nom even as fillers.

It wasn’t me. I do think voters might know them, but boybands have a terrible history. Haven’t listened to their album, but a Bts nom would be a nice shake-up.

The album was received well by critics and i consider it an improvement from their last EP. They are performing and headlining the Obama’s Class of 2020 event in June, so maybe they will get something.

BTS performed at the last ceremony.

They’re definitely on the GRAMMYs radar.

Their popularity would be the reason for the nomination. Ala Justin Bieber’s Pop Vocal Album nod for My World 2.0

“you look like your picture, thank god.”

Personally, I think Dua’s album is the better “pop” album and will have more longevity than Post’s, especially with Break My Heart on the rise. I don’t think “Circles”, which feels so old now, is enough to carry him to a win.

In my opinion, Post Malone + Grammys = Katy Perry + Grammys.
