I never heard SWU but I’d love if it got in instead of ROM because it has zero chances of winning

At this point, BPDGP is gonna be a complete mess, maybe even more than 2019. So few votes coupled with literally no obvious choices (I dont feel like My Oh My, ITWWE, Intentions etc. are getting in)… I expect some totally weird picks.

Trampoline and Be Like That are my alternates, but tbh I expect something even weirder (and off our collective radar) to make it.

Looking at the confirmed submissions for Pop Duo/Group (and one song that I’m assuming was submitted*), this is how I’d rank everything:

The top contenders (most likely getting nominated):
Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande – Rain On Me
    Maroon 5 – Memories
Taylor Swift feat. Bon Iver – Exile

Strong possibilities (could round out the category or replace something above):
Justin Bieber feat. Quavo – Intentions
    BTS – Dynamite
Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber – Stuck With U
Jawsh 685 & Jason Derulo – Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)

    Other possibilities:
Camila Cabello feat. DaBaby – My Oh My
A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera – Fall On Me
Calvin Harris & The Weeknd – Over Now
Jonas Brothers – What a Man Gotta Do*
Post Malone feat. Young Thug – Goodbyes
JP Saxe feat. Julia Michaels – If the World Was Ending
Twenty One Pilots – Level of Concern
The Weeknd feat. Doja Cat – In Your Eyes

    More distant possibilities:
Kane Brown, Swae Lee & Khalid – Be Like That
Major Lazer feat. Marcus Mumford – Lay Your Head On Me
Marshmello & Halsey – Be Kind
    Pentatonix – Dreams
Mark Ronson & Anderson .Paak – Then There Were Two
    Shaed & Zayn – Trampoline
SZA & Justin Timberlake – The Other Side
Renée Zellweger & Sam Smith – Get Happy

    Long shots:
    Ashnikko feat. Grimes – Cry
Kelsea Ballerini & Halsey – The Other Girl
J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny & Tainy – Un Dia (One Day)
Black Eyed Peas, Ozuna & J. Rey Soul – Mamacita
Black Eyed Peas & Shakira – Girl Like Me
Blackpink & Selena Gomez – Ice Cream
Kristin Chenoweth feat. Ariana Grande – You Don’t Own Me
Sabrina Claudio feat. Zayn – Rumors
Trevor Daniel & Selena Gomez – Past Life
Celine Dion feat. Chris Isaak – Wicked Game
Diplo & Jonas Brothers – Lonely
    Echosmith – Lonely Generation
5 Seconds of Summer – Teeth
Ellie Goulding feat. Lauv – Slow Grenade
Khalid & Disclosure – Know Your Worth
    Joji & Diplo – Daylight
Ingrid Michaelson & Jason Mraz – Christmas Valentine
Victoria Monét, Khalid & SG Lewis – Experience
    Monsta X – Someone’s Someone
    Oh Wonder – Hallelujah
Tiwa Savage & Sam Smith – Temptation
Sam Smith feat. Burna Boy – My Oasis
Lindsey Stirling feat. Amy Lee – Love Goes On and On
    SuperM – Jopping
Meghan Trainor feat. Nicki Minaj – Nice to Meet Ya
Ty Dolla $ign feat. Kanye West, FKA Twigs & Skrillex – Ego Death

I think “Be Like That” is peaking a little too late to be nominated. Shame they didn’t save it for next year’s cycle: it might have had a a chance.

    Fuck the Grammys

Taylor Swift could’ve easily won for Pop Duo/Group with “exile” if she released a music video. The song is a critically acclaimed track from a critically acclaimed album and has peaked #6 in the BB100 without massive promo/radioplay. The GP also loves the song since it literally has over 100,000,000 streams despite not being a single. ROM had a bit of success and is the most known out of the predicted nominees, but it isn’t critically acclaimed like “exile” is and it’s not a better song IMO. If this gets nominated for this, I hope she releases a music video so it will attract more attention. She will probably win this if the song will make noise.

Gaga is definitely in Pop Duo/Group & PVA. She & Ariana will likely win for the former. 🙌🏾

I will LOL if BTS wins. “Dynamite” is everywhere: TV, commercials, ads, radio, etc.

That song is bottom level gargabe. It’s one of the worst song of all time. Lyrics are shitty, vocals YIKES,  autotuned sound, shitty mv.
