Post Malone was NOT even nominated for ‘beerbongs’ despite making it in AOTY!

That’s because his last album was more R&B/hip-hop, not pop. He submitted it in the wrong category.

Gaga isn’t winning and won’t be nominated because her album won’t be out in the eligible period.

I just assumed it would be released during this eligibility period like it was originally intended to. And underestimating Gaga in the Pop field is not a good idea when she just won that for complete flop that was Joanne.

You forgot Changes by Justin Bieber for Best Pop Vocal Album, and Anyone by Demi Lovato for Best Pop Solo.

Hollywood’s Bleeding is A LOT more Pop sounding than Beerbongs was. The latter should’ve been submitted to Urban Contemporary (but we all know the reason it wasn’t moved to there).

Most likely Best Pop Vocal Album nominees:

    -Fine Line by Harry Styles

    -Future Nostalgia by Dua Lipa

-Manic by Halsey or Romance by Camilla or Changes by Justin Bieber

    -Hollywood’s Bleeding by Post Malone

    -Chromatica by Lady Gaga

I’m surprised a lot of people are underestimating Bieber for Best Pop Vocal Album. He has more of a chance than Camila and Halsey imo. He’s proven to be a favorite for that category and Yummy and Intentions were big</p>

someone can be a favorite but that doesn’t mean the recording academy is gonna favor that artists shit attempt of an album! Even Selena Gomez has a better chance of getting in and they have proven they don’t like her by snubbing Revival over the unsuccessful and mediocre Confident by Demi Lovato

For those saying Dua Lipa is winning over Post Malone because Beerbongs and Bentleys was snubbed, what does it say that Dua Lipa was left out of pop vocal album as well and Post got into Pop Solo over her? Yes I know she submitted a live version of New Rules, but I don’t see how that’s a massive disadvantage when Camila Cabello was nominated with a live version of Havana. Dua would show up on a ballot before Post, which means they were looking for him and not her. No one who’s released so far is a Grammy favorite or has an undeniable album. Post has the biggest album and the biggest hit, imo that makes him the far and away front runner right now.

you contradicted yourself, cause your example shows how someone who is favored and more respected by the Academy got a nom. Demi is known as a powerhouse vocalist in the industry which really helps her at least get her foot in the door, especially for categories like Best Pop Vocal Album. For the Confident album, she sang Stone Cold everywhere and campaigned really hard. for it.

Anyway SG is a different beast, and it seems Selenas only shot is LYTLM and idek if they will just ignore it. I don’t see Rare as an album happening (next to zero chance)

Changes might also not happen but due to genre categorization.

Dua Lipa was not “left out”. Her debut album made 0 noise in the US so she was never getting nominated anyways. Whereas Beerbongs & Bentleys was one of the biggest albums of the year and still got ignored. That’s the difference.

Get real!  Selena Gomez does NOT have a better chance of getting in Best Pop Vocal Album over Justin Bieber.  Bieber is a past winner and multiple nominee, whereas Gomez has never been nominated.

I highly doubt Biebs will even be in BPVA this year. The entire era he’s spent saying how he’s proud this is an R&B record and he’s now making R&B music.

What’s he’s most likely gonna do is submit the album to Urban Contemporary since Journals was submitted there and wasn’t moved by the Blue Rippon Secret Sauce panel.

    Best Pop Vocal Album
    Future Nostalgia – Dua Lipa
    Hollywood’s Bleeding – Post Malone
    Fine Line – Harry Styles
    Justin Bieber – Changes
    Chromatica – Lady Gaga
    — – – – – – – – – – – – – –
    (Manic – Halsey)

I honestly could see it like this if Gaga releases Her album before August .
