    AOTY:

    The Weeknd – After Hours

    Taylor Swift – Folklore

Fiona Apple – Fetch the Bolt Cutters

    Post Malone – Hollywood’s bleeding

    Roddy Ricch – PEMFBA

    The Highwomen – The Highwomen

    FKA Twigs – Magdalene

    Chromatica – Lady Gaga

(I know this amount of Pop is very unlikely, but I’ll leave it at that for now. Also, can anyone tell me if we have access to the top 20? If so, only after the noms?)

There were 4 POP Nominees at the 2012 Ceremony. There’s a possibility towards it happening this year, especially with a 8 – Nominee Lineup . I’m not buying Lady Gaga being in AOTY tho I feel like her GF nom could be ROTY with Rain on Me.

We won’t have access to the Top 20 because it’s only viewed by a Committee that will Choose the Top 8 . The nominations will paint how the Awards will go.

It’s a possibility that Post Malone only gets into ROTY and Pop Solo and nothing else. His album while still big, was released almost a year ago. He has never really been favored in pop especially with 5 other big pop albums in contention. As well, SOTY typically does not go to lively hits.

im not taking him out, but he seems very likely in a crowded pop landscape. Personally for the commercial picks in AOTY:

    1. After Hours

    2. Folklore

    3. Please Excuse Me For Being Anti-Social

    4. Future Nostalgia/Fine Line (they might nominate both but I see them giving it to one of these two)

    Albums of the Year:
    2020: After Hours (RU: folklore)
    2019: Titanic Rising (RU: Charli)
2018: OIL OF EVERY PEARL’S UN-INSIDES (RU: You Won’t Get What You Want)
    2017: Saturation Trilogy (RU: Melodrama)
    2016: Blonde (RU: Blackstar)

    2020 favorite albums:
    1. after hours
    2. folklore
    3. fetch the bolt cutters
    4. rtj4
    5. what’s your pleasure?
    6. circles
    7. windswept adan
    8. græ
    9. the slow rush
    10. sawayama
    11. the new abnormal
    12. lianne la havas
    13. women in music pt. iii

Crazy that so many people are now underestimating Post Malone after heavily predicting him just a couple of months ago. I still think he will be one of the leading nominees.

Taylor drops folklore and heavily affecting the predictions.

    For you consideration :

Album of the year : folklore
Record of the year : Don't Start Now
Song of the year : cardigan
Best new artist : Phoebe Bridgers

Best pop vocal album : folklore
    Best rap album : Alfredo
Best alternative music album : Fetch the Bolt Cutters
Best progressive R&B album : Ungodly Hour

AOTY (in order of likelihood for a nom):
    1. Weeknd
    2. Fiona
    3. Harry
    4. Roddy
    5. RTJ
    6. Brittany
    7. Taylor
    8. Lil Baby

Should I replace Lil Baby with Post Malone? General consensus seems to be that Lil Baby isn’t happening
Also I don’t buy the Dua hype at ALL. Her appeal of having a universally acclaimed pop album is ruined by the fact that there’s another universally acclaimed pop album which sold almost double.

! The claim in this post is disputed

You don’t even have to go back that far. There were 4 pop nominees last year.

Billie, Ariana, Lana and Lil Nas X’s albums were all submitted to Pop Vocal.

Harry at #3 in aoty? Really not happening. I only have him in PVA and pop solo.

    My AOTY predictions are

    After Hours -The Weeknd
Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial -Roddy Ricch
Fetch the Bolt Cutters – Fiona Apple
    Folklore – Taylor Swift
    Hollywood’s Bleeding – Post Malone
    The Highwomen -The Highwomen
    RTJ4 – Run the Jewels
Ungodly Hour – Chloe x Halle

I think that they will let folklore compete but they will try do avoid the win by making a line up that would take votes from folklore, like The Highwomen and Future Nostalgia. I just took Dua out because now I see Post being over her since he won’t get a PVA nom. I also have Ungodly Hour in to be the R&B pick because The Weeknd chose to go pop.
