If Taylor wins AOTY, I think they will present the awards in a way so you are not sure who wins until the end, they will appear a Dua win first and they will hold off the pop vocal album for before the AOTY I think. The winner in pop vocal will spoil the winner in AOTY.

If Taylor wins pop vocal, Folklore is 99% winning AOTY in this Line-up. If most of pop voters support Folklore and even very few from other genres that’s more than enough for winning.

Because among the frontrunners (dua and taylor) whoever wins pop vocal album is winning aoty. Since the albums category were created the winner in the genre field wins in the general field over the loser, a split is impossible.

I wouldn’t say a split is impossible. Just last year bad guy lost its genre category to Truth Hurts but then beat it in both ROTY and SOTY. Dua could win BPVA on the strength of pop voters but then loses AOTY because Taylor got more non-pop voters.
