Taylor could very well go 0/6.
AOTY – Dua
SOTY – Dua or Beyonce
BPVA – Dua
BPVP – Dua
BPDP – Rain On Me (Taylor could win this one but ROM made it into a lot of year end lists, was a moderate hit and seems loved in the industry)
Best Motion Picture Song – Billie

LMAO.
Dua Lipa is not winning Album of the Year or Best Pop Vocal Album. Taylor Swift or Jacob Collier are taking AOTY; likewise Taylor is taking Pop Album and I think Harry is the runner-up there, not Dua.

What’s up with Jacob Collier? He has no reviews for his album and his album didn’t chart anywhere, nobody ever predicted him for anything ever and he also missed SOTY/ROTY and Progressive R&B album. He is a clear comittee pick.

Lol, I’m gonna post this on every single AOTY thread until the Grammys

Jacob Collier is highly respected and a musician’s musician. He checks off a lot of Grammy boxes, already has a perfect 4/4 Grammy track record, and should not be underestimated.
SOTY, ROTY, and R&B Album all have their nominations chosen by committee so his absence there doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

She fits the Meghan Trainor, Alesia Cara, Dua Lipa Mold. I feel like her music is more accessible and more Grammy friendly than Megan Thee Stallion. She could pull a lot of support from Pop/Dance and Urban.
Congratulations to Grammy Winners: Jazmine Sullivan, Doja Cat, SZA and Olivia Rodrigo!

In BNA I don’t see Megan getting much pop support. But in ROTY I can see that happening given that Beyoncé is attached.
Beyoncé has another song nominated. If Megan is able to pull off a major upset in ROTY – a category that notoriously looks over urban records – ain’t no way she’s losing BNA to someone she beat in ROTY.

yeah I’m sure the nba players will cast a couple votes.
Congratulations to Grammy Winners: Jazmine Sullivan, Doja Cat, SZA and Olivia Rodrigo!
December 22, 2020 at 4:20 pm #1203940261Jacob Collier’s chances are slim to none. It would be the most WTF winner since… Herbie Hancock? But that win was really predictable. A jazz legend making an album full of Joni Mitchell songs featuring several beloved artists. Every winner since then has made perfect sense and has had wider appeal. Jacob would have the least universal appeal of any winner in the last 20 years.
It’s Folklore vs Future Nostalgia. Nothing else nominated made a comparable splash. But Folklore is well ahead, because it is the music story of the year. It easily has the best narrative. 1. Another career-defining genre switch from Taylor, 2. “pandemic album” 3. surprise drop + massive success. Evermore just helps seal the deal. Dua doing SNL and a WIRED interview is nothing compared to dropping a whole new surprise album lol. 2020 is Taylor’s year.
The ONLY reason I could see FN winning is because Taylor’s already won twice. But I also agree with people who have said most voters probably don’t give a damn and will just vote for what they like the most. Plus 1989 winning feels like a long time ago, especially since it wasn’t followed up with noms for Reputation or Lover.
