Whoever wins POTY will give us a better idea of who’s winning AOTY
March 8, 2021 at 12:20 pm #1204095601I remember some anonymous Grammy voters would tell Billboard who they voted for and why. There was an article before the 2016 Grammys when Taylor won for 1989. Did that continue in the following years or stop? Should we expect something?

I don’t think so because Jack Antonoff has a better name recognition than Andrew Watt. He can win this category but lose AOTY.

Not really, they’re both quite well known and have worked with numerous artists
March 8, 2021 at 12:30 pm #1204095635BTS do NOT have industry respect lmao. People are terrified of their rabid fandom online.
And as someone stated before, if the big boybands of yesteryear (*NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, 1D, etc) couldn’t do it while absolutely dominating the States, BTS isn’t going to do it with 1 hit from an album that flopped in the US. It’s not happening.

Jack Antonoff deserves it for “This is me trying” alone (the fact that mirrorball and august are also there only increases his chances)

The meltdowns would be so insane. That Taylor sweep would be on the way

If she won with Beautiful Ghosts that would absolutely be a second.

I need a big ballad from her with exquisite vocals, and correct annunciation. This trap and r&b shit isn’t cutting it. If she didn’t receive love for TUN then it’s time to switch up the formula, for Winning Grammys that is. Clearly the sound is working out for her to get hits.
“This trap and r&b shit” didn’t sound very nice.
She keeps losing because of bad timing and strong competition in Pop. Plus, if she managed to fraud her way into R&B/Melodic Rap/Dance Recording or undeservingly sneak her way into Best Music Video with a popular song, she’d easily win.
