To the point ways made in the last discussion, yes 1989 and After Hours are on different wavelengths. However, Blinding Lights was THE BESTEST song of the year as was 1989 the biggest album of 2015. Thats why Ed and Bruno won ROTY, SOTY, Pop Solo and Pop Duo/Group because their songs were bigger. And I’m not saying After Hours should have won AOTY, but Blinding Lights is definitely the actual ROTY and Pop Solo winner. The fact that the Grammys nominated Yummy over that shows how out of touch these voters are. So the comparisons with Blinding Lights and 1989 and valid.

I fail to see how comparing an album with a song is valid…I get the point you are trying to make but surely there are better examples?

The way we would’ve not have 20 threads discussing about who’s winning AOTY if the Weeknd was here. Lmao.

Highly doubt the Weeknd would’ve won AOTY.

Unrelated but thank god Abel is never submiting to Grammys again, after all that happened and his previous statements it was the right thing to do.
