Post Malone can’t even win a subgenre award imagine SOTY
Of course that “This Is America” was 10000x bigger than “I Can’t Breathe” and a cultural impactul moment in 2018, but nobody predicted winning over “Shallow”.

Ed Sheeran had no Grammys when he won SOTY so this means nothing

The worst part of Adele returning is how agressive Taylor campaigning could get. Remember when 25 blasted the music industry. Taylor promote 1989 to grammy voters like it was the second coming of Jesus, she knew Adele will get a second easily, that’s why she wanted her second one before.

??? she had a huge momentum all over 2015 with 1989 and its five successful singles – including 3 #1’s -, was the center of conversation and had industry support due to her streaming services fight and won tons of awards. Of course she would campaign for the Grammys as she always did, Adele didn’t interfere her.

Honey, Taylor Swift’s sales are slightly lower than usual.  Mama needed to sell like 21, 25, or even her own 1989 in order to win Album of the Year three times.  Frontrunner, my ass!

Yes, the worst part of Adele returning is not the possibility of her sweeping the GF again in 2022, resulting in yet another boring Grammy season for awards follower, no…. it’s the far-fetched assumption that Taylor will somehow mount an aggressive campaign all of the sudden, even if her actual campaign so far is literally non-existent outside of FYC ads and one live performance, so the she can fight for an AOTY win…

I swear people who dislike Taylor talk about her and her theoretical, yet irl non-existent tactics more than Taylor fans do…. literal obsession

Also, “Blinding Lights” won’t be blocked from SOTY until we see the nominations. I doubt they’ll block the biggest song of the year by a Black artist which good lyrics (even though we know they don’t look for that), melodic structure on point and is still overplayed by radio and TV.

There is a reason of why 1989 is the most awarded pop album of all time. Adele didn’t interfere her anyway.

The only real locks in AOTY are After Hours and maybe FTBC but that’s it. Everyone else I can see a scenario of them getting blocked

Get real!  1989 is NOT the most awarded pop album of all time.  Delusional Swifties come up with any fucking thing.

Say it louder for the people in the back: ADELE”S NEW ALBUM (if it even releases which I’ll believe when it’s officially announced) WILL HAVE ZERO EFFECT ON TAYLOR SWIFT!

Folklore and Fine Line are safely in, and Fetch the Bolt Cutters is not a “maybe”

Get real!  Folklore is NOT “safely” in Album of the Year.  It’s getting blocked.  Only After Hours and Fetch the Bolt Cutters are “safely” in.
