Elton was most likely paid to go live with Dua, lol. Why are you even discussing it?

Run The Jewels had a major impact on the media this year. I don’t think they should be underestimated in AOTY.

CBS News: Rapper Killer Mike urges calm amid violence in Atlanta

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert: Killer Mike On His Emotional Speech In Atlanta: I Said What Was In My Heart

60 minutes interview: Killer Mike on his next act: co-founding a black-owned bank

All of these are from CBS, interesting….

RTJ will most likely be a committee pick. They’re focusing for diversity across the board this year, their album is the most acclaimed hip-hop album of the year and Killer Mike has been on the radar this year. On point.

I have them in AOTY only. (regarding GF noms)

Summer Walker – Over It is the BNA nominee with the best chance of getting in AOTY. Since it’s the most successful album of all the BNA hopefuls.

I didn’t even realize Summer was eligible for BNA! If she wins the Soul Train AOTY I’ll swap Over It in for Ungodly Hour and then probably replace Suga with a country album (probably Luke Colbs’s album).

Why do you think it’s the most successful? What metric are you using? I’m curious.

Perhaps in that metric, but in other’s Megan & Doja are ahead. Doja is ahead in streams and Doja & Megan are both ahead in chart performance (#1).

Voters familiarity with Say So & Savage could put them ahead of Summer.

I also have Summer in my predictions at the moment, but I won’t be surprised if Doja or Megan take her spot.

If Summer wins AOTY at the Soul Train Awards and gets an AOTY nom at the Grammys, I think she wins BNA

All three are likely. But I’d Say Summer then Doja. Megan will get her nods in ROTY/SOTY for Savage. The other 2 may not get in.

Hmmm not really. H.E.R (deservingly) lost to Dua Lipa under the same conditions.

And Summer is ahead in ACCLAIM. Doja is the biggest “pop star” out of the 3 of them so I can see her getting the most votes from that demo.
