I wonder what Miranda Lambert’s chances are at the Best Country Solo Grammy? “Blue Bird” is her first solo #1 song in eight years now.

God bless you and her always!!!

    Holly

P.S. In my opinion, her “Tin Man” song should’ve gone all the way.

I don’t see Dua getting into AOTY unfortunately. She lacked the commercial success most pop AOTY nominations have

That category is very competitive this year, but The Bones & I Hope were bigger hits. Considering how both Maren & Gabby may receive GF nominations, that could give them an advantage. Bluebird is defintely Miranda’s best shot at winning since Platinum, but we should wait for now.

though if The Bones was submitted in the Pop field and I Hope got snubbed or its remix was submitted in Country Duo/Group instead, then I guess Miranda would be the frontrunner…

hopeless and delusionally dreaming that after being fucked over by the BRITs and the BPI’s racist rules, Rina Sawayama could receive a BNA nomination. that would be delicious, but definitely not happening.

I would like if Melodic Rap looked something like this:

    • Savage (Remix) – Megan Thee Stallion ft. Beyoncé
    • ROCKSTAR – DaBaby ft. Roddy Rich
    • Heartless – The Weeknd
    • Like That – Doja Cat ft. Gucci Mane
    • Ju$t – Run The Jewels ft. Pharrel Williams & Zack De La Rocha

    Thoughts on this lineup??

I love the Run the Jewels shoutout. “Heartless” is R&B. You missed “The Box”.

She owes herself a heavy campaign for BNA and Pop Vocal Album.

I think Savage could edge out and win Best Melodic Perf.

It would be the perfect winner.

Some more locks for wins imo:

Best Melodic Rap Performance: “The Box” by Roddy Ricch

Best Music Film: BLACK IS KING by Beyoncé (I’m not thrilled, but it’s bound to happen)

Best Progressive R&B Album: After Hours by The Weeknd

Best American Roots Performance: “Johnny” by Sarah Jarosz

The Rina Sawayama story is so blatantly racist. I feel awful for her

As for Heartless, after listening again after a few months, I think it kinda fits the category, maybe he will try to send more classical-sounding songs to R&B.

Even if he did submit to BMP, the submissions committee will probably take him out and put the song in R&B categories.

Honey, no way is “Savage (Remix) winning Best Melodic Rap Performance (still YUCK! @ that name change) over “The Box.”

I wouldn’t bet on any chart successes making the nominees for the majority of the country categories. Just last year, we saw a lot of nominees that didn’t even crack the hot 100 with “Ride Me Back Home” winning.

Christina Aguilera won [Best New Artist] with just “Genie in a Bottle”. But her album secured the win.

Honey, Christina Aguilera is THAT bitch!  🙂
