The committee will definitely work some type of magic. I don’t know about it ending up only being half “white acts” though.

Listen Idiot Awards Voters, give as many awards as you possibly can to these albums:

Fiona Apple- Fetch the Bolt Cutters
Haim- Women in Music Part lll
Run the Jewels- Run the Jewels 4

I’m starting to think Ava Max could be a BNA nominee contender. I read somewhere that she wasn’t eligible last year I think, for no given reason. I think this might be the year. Kings & Queens is slowly rising on the charts & on Airplay.

I’m not sure if Taylors huge opening week is good or bad for her in terms of AOTY. Fiona winning AOTY would be one thing, but Taylor Swift is really seen as the ultimate white girl. Her getting more competitive for the win also automatically increases the chance of her getting blocked.

It’s such an underwhelming year for black artists musically, so I expect them snatching four slots at max in case NARAS are riding the BLM so hard :

    • The Weeknd – “After Hours”
    • FKA twigs – “MAGDALENE”
    • Childish Gambino – “3.15.20”
    • RTJ – “RTJ4”

But realistically, I see black artists getting three slots :

    • The Weeknd – “After Hours”
    • Childish Gambino – “3.15.20”
    • FKA twigs – “MAGDALENE”

RTJ “RTJ4” probably can replace FKA twigs but I put my faith more on her simply because she’s my fave. Brittany Howard “Jaime” might also make a surprise nomination too.

Been revisiting Ungodly Hour lately. It would be a justice to music if Chloe X Halle made it into Album of the Year. That whole album is fire! No skips whatsoever. I would even go as far as predicting “Do It” in SOTY. Such a bop.

Honey, “Do It” definitely deserves ROTY and SOTY noms.

Why Chloe X Halle’s album isn’t on the prediction center?

Guys, did you all hear the news of TIK TOK getting banned as early as this saturday? This will be a huge loss for trendy artists.

YES! TikTok was such a cringy, stupid, cancerous app. Not to mention that there’s hard evidence they were stealing your data thanks to hackers that reverse engineered the code. I’m so happy that it’s gone.

Chloe x Halle have a better shot than Summer Walker. Yes their album was smaller, but it got acclaim, they are past nominees, their sounf and image are way more closer to someone like H.E.R than Summer Walker’s more sexual content, and they have that Beyoncé/Parkwood promo. They’ve also been performing everywhere: the GLAAD Awards, YouTube’s Class of 2020 Events, The Today Show, the BET Awards, MTV’s little quarantine concerts, the Global Citizen concert, and doing interviews left and right. To the people asking how to campaign during a global pandemic, let these girls show you.

Summer Walker got more acclaim (86 vs 81) and her album didn’t flop. Beyonce can’t even get her own stuff in the GF anymore. Columbia will probably be pushing for Harry Styles and Dixie Chicks who have a far bigger shot.

Honey, there is NOT much of a difference between an 81 and an 86 on Metacritic.

An 81 and an 8 have little-to-no difference when one of them has 6 reviews and the other 8.

Chloe and Halle fit the Grammy brand more than Summer. Their album is getting a lot of support from R&B fans, pop fans and some “hipsters”. Summer’s album has been out for almost a year. And when Beyoncé has a chance at gf nods she gets them. So, I fell to see your point Karen.

They update once in a century. PM Daniel who is supposed to update them.
