The film came out 4 days ago.

And was airheaded trash with stunning visuals as usual.

WTF? It made no noise whatsoever.

That’s because the “soundtrack” was an already Grammy-nominated album (and not necessarily a good one) and maybe because it seems to be ticking off a few natives. Can’t please everyone. The thing was an airheaded bore.

    Uhmmm

is BTS a lock on pop/duo?

doja will reappear after the PR disasters at the VMAs to try and gain some momentum.. but to perform the tired Say So? what else?

    megan is ahead of her.

Why would BTS be a lock for anything?

BTS ain’t ever gonna be nominated for a Grammy. It’s sad, but it is what it is.

Dua’s clearly trying to increase her chances for an AOTY nomination with this remix album. I think it’s a good strategy and Future Nostalgia is brilliant so I’m glad she’s trying to get the recognition she deserves.

I don’t know what you’re talking about desperation, Dua has always talked about a deluxe album even when Future Nostalgia was released. Y’all pop heads are pressed when Dua release a Remix album, but literally DaBaby is releasing a deluxe version of Blame It On Baby and it’s been crickets.

Dua has always been desperate to inflate her statistics which is acceptable, I guess. It’s not just about the Grammys.

This is a bullshit theory. In a lot of categories (not just pop), a lot of people don’t release music in consecutive years which is why it’s somewhat uncommon for people to get nominated in consecutive years. Plenty of people have been represented in the pop categories a year after winning including Lady Gaga (2012), Ariana Grande (2020), Pharrell (2015), and, as you pointed out, Adele (2013). Secondly, Billie didn’t sweep the pop field; she won one award there. I’m going to bet on the woman who just won all 4 main categories to get nominated over someone with no history in the pop field whose success this year has been fueled almost entirely by radio.

Don’t Start Now isn’t fueld by radio. Break My Heart is.

So, it seems like Miley Cryus is releasing new music this month. Does anyone think she will qualify for any of the Pop Grammy categories?

No. She’s done @ the GRAMMYs. Miley would need an undeniable era.

She would need another “Wrecking Ball” probably?
