    Honey, given the climate, non-white people would have a major issue with Taylor Swift (or any white person) winning Album of the Year.  Take those stan blinders off so you can see what would be wrong with that picture.

    Get real! It is NOT such an underwhelming year for black artists musically. Stop listening to Taylor Swift and open your damn ears. Plenty of black artists have released excellent albums this year.

    You guys love using Metacritic/AOTY/ADM as indicator and surprisingly top rated album this year are dominated by white artists factually. I like to see those members start shifting to another excuse when this is basically their common reason to discredit non-black artists

    Currently digging :

    * Joji - Nectar
    * Sufjan Steven - The Ascension
    * Marsicans - Ursa Major
    * Holly Humberstone - Falling Asleep At The Wheel
    * Rich Brian - 1999

    YHLQMDLG deserves a nomination, but realistically, he’s not making it to the top 20. probably the same thing that happened to ROSALÍA last year, except he’s not eligible for BNA.

    RTJ4 has better chances than Childish, and I think Roddy Rich is a very strong contender. Also it’s not really underwhelming lol? ROY is being dominated by records made by black musicians.

    RTJ4 definitely better than 3.15.20 by long shot but RTJ have poor Grammy record compared to Childish.

    Black artists have lost with top rated albums why should it be different for non-black artists.

    Two wrong don’t make it right. And the circle continues

    Honey, it is NOT surprising that the top-rated albums this year are by white artists.  Majority of these critics are white.  Go figure!

    What do we think about a BNA nom for Beabadoobee? She is sampled prominently on Powfu’s Deathbed, and her star seems to be rising fast. Her album will probably be out before the deadline. The Grammys need to start recognizing Asian artists, and she is more talented than most of the 88 Rising associated artists, and she has a more commercial/radio friendly sound than Mitski, Peggy Gou etc.

    It’s a bad idea to underestimate H.E.R. The grammys clearly love her and I could see her easily get into the GF.

    I hope she campaigns the life out of “Sometimes”. She, to me, stands a shot at even winning ROTY. It’s very ROTY-sounding. “Slide” is just there, maybe an R&B filler. “I Can’t Breathe”… well, it’s definitely a good song, but lord only knows if how the whole narrative’s kinda flipped now if it’ll still be loved as much. In her defense, and everyone else’s, she didn’t see it coming though. I say “I Can’t Breathe” might get an R&B Song nod but SOTY is a stretch.

    Is Sawayama eligible for BNA? And again with the race thing. Idk how to explain how it (shouldn’t) matter, but oh well.

    On Beabadoobee, NO WAY. She should wait until she’s really popular before treading that water.

    I don’t see anyone else deserving Rap Album. Anything other than RTJ4 winning the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album would be irritating since other rap albums are simply inferior to it. It deserves and AOTY nod even.
