It definitely could see them snubbed. The critical acclaimed pop darling always gets snubbed over the pop superstars. The fact that Melodrama or Norman Fucking Rockwell didn’t get in Pop Vocal. Delicate, a critically acclaimed song from reputation., was snubbed, even though it went number 12 with stability. High Horse and Make Me Feel were highly critical acclaimed songs and still got snubbed. I could go on and on…

I couldn’t see them snubbing the song :

    – It’s a weak year for pop duo/group, lack of competition
    – Song was written by two established reputable artists
    – Overwhelming praises from critics, considered as song of the week upon release by music publications (CoS, UTR etc.)
    – Attached to highly acclaim album (88 on Metacritic)
    – Already a Top 10 hits

I have Taylor for 4 Nominations.

    Album of the Year
    Pop Vocal Album
    Pop Duo/Group
    Best Music Film

I don’t see her getting in ROTY, SOTY but I’m going to keep her in SOTY as a safety if they block her from AOTY because she could honestly win. And we don’t need her to 3-peat.

As far as who I think will be the most nominated. It’s a toss up between Roddy Ricch and The Weeknd. Both could end up with at least 6 nods.

I think both Roddy and The Weeknd will have 5-6 nominations. I see “Blinding Lights” on Best Music Video and yes I know it’s a bold prediction considering the past nominations, but I wouldn’t doubt it. (Honestly this is the only mainstream video for now. “Physical” may not enter since it wasn’t promoted in the US, Dua isn’t a strong name check.)

Maren Morris could get 5-6 as well thanks to The Highwomen.

The Chicks also have strong chance in getting 6 nominations :

    • Album of the year
    • Record of the year
    • Song of the year
    • Best country album
    • Best country song
    • Best country duo/group performance

Good sis have good record in general field and Gaslighter is critically acclaimed

I believe “Blinding Lights” will be the VOTY nominee from the VMAS to get the Best Music Video nomination at the grammys.

Delicate miss during a weird year and had a good amount of praise by critics. It’s like every year a critically acclaimed gets shut out because they don’t have the sales or longevity. This could easily happen for Taylor in pop/duo. Exile is probably going to leave the hot 100 unless it doesn’t become a viable single. I could also see Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga win over Taylor Swift and Bon Iver if nominated.

Anyways, I’m not saying exile doesn’t have a chance in Pop Duo/nomination. But it definitely could get snubbed. No one in Pop Duo/Group is guaranteed an nomination, whether you agree or not.

    RIP SOPHIE

Gaslighter was also a huge flop though. I don’t think the album makes it into AOTY, but the song may make SOTY. That’s pretty much all they can expect though.

I love how every frontrunner has a chance at multiple nominations EXCEPT Taylor. Goldderby, your bias is showing.

hmm, where is she getting nominations from when we’ve already given her the most nominations imaginable. I said she would get 4-5: AOTY, SOTY, Pop Solo (or Pop Duo/Group), Pop Vocal, and Music Film. No one is biased here.

Hmm I forgot about Maren Morris. I think she’ll likely be the most nominated. 4 solo. 3 with the Group.

? The general consensus is that she is getting multiple. I have her in AOTY, SOTY and BPVA but that seems to be less nominations than most people. Is anyone predicting her for 1?

There are plenty of swifties here that are predicting nominations across the board, even in the american roots and country fields.

I think there’s a happy medium. Most people are predicting her for the least amount of “imaginable” categories when every other frontrunner is nominated across the board in their genres/GF. That’s what I mean. At this point in time I don’t see how leaving Taylor out of PSP and PDG is being unbiased, for example.
