I think Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture” should get in over H.E.R.’s “I Can’t Breathe” soley because she has been nominated in the General Field for the past couple years.

I mean, yeah, it probably should, bit will it? I have a hard time imagining the Grammy’s nominating Lil Babh of all people. Wheras, like you said, H.E.R. has already received several nominations.

I think Lewis Capaldi will, however, be nominated for Best New Artist and pull a Meghan Trainor.

Ugh, I hope this doesn’t happen. He was nominated for SOTY last year! That would be such a fraud.

    Best Pop Vocal Album

    folklore

    Future Nostalgia

    Hollywood’s Bleeding

    Fine Line

    Chromatica

    Best Pop Solo Performance

    Blinding Lights

    Don’t Start Now

    Circles

    Watermelon Sugar

    cardigan

    Best Pop Group/Duo Performance

    Rain On Me

    Memories

    Intentions

    exile

    Dynamite

I really hope that Justin Bieber is not nominated for anything. His Duo/Group spot should go to My Oh My by Camila Cabello instead. I still have a hard time believing that the Grammy’s will nominate BTS, but Dynamite is a great song and I am okay with it. I really hope Memories is snubbed in favor of Take What You Want by Post, Ozzy, and Travis. The ideal nominees in Duo Group are My Oh My, Rain On Me, Dynamite, Take What You Want, and Exile.

The Grammys won’t let a white female artist to win for a 3rd consecutive year.

They just might though. If the other general field categories go to black artists (like The Weeknd and Megan), then people will care less about a white artist winning AOTY.

I just don’t see Taylor getting blocked this time.

Well you don’t have to imagine since he’s already a Grammy nominee…

    Too explicit imo

I don’t think explicit even plays a role that much or have little impact bc Lana had an album with the “F” word on it and Ceelo Green won a Grammy with his song “F you”.

I’m pretty sure Cardi’s label will send the non-explicit version . Cardi and Megan will definitely show up in Best Rap Performance and it’s gonna help Megan chances with her BNA race.

The ideal nominees in Duo Group are My Oh My, Rain On Me, Dynamite, Take What You Want, and Exile.

Take What You Want would be a great nominee, but my guess is that Post will submit it to the rock field. It kinda being there anyway.

Intentions is much more likely than My Oh My. My Oh My peaked at #12 while Intentions peaked at #5 and has had better longevity. Also, Camila has only been nominated so far for #1 hits.

I meant for the general field though. They’re notoriously picky when it comes to rappers in the general field.

Is there a non-explicit version too? The whole song is full of explicit words lyrically.

That’s kinda different though. Neither of those songs had lyrics like “Put that p*ssy right in your face, swipe your nose like a credit card”.

There’s a YouTube version that replaces the title lyrics with “Wet and Gushy”, LOL! I think they has to do that to avoid demonitization.

I personally have WAP nominated for Rap Performance. It won’t win, but having multiple nominations will surly help Megan in BNA.

If WAP gets a nomination Megan could have at least 5 possible nominations

    ROTY: Savage (with Beyoncé)
    BNA
Rap Performance: WAP (with Cardi B)
    Rap Song: Savage (with Beyoncé)
Rap sung performance: Savage (with Beyoncé)

Yeah, but Camila was better received by critics this year than Bieber. Intentions will probably be nominated over My Oh My, but I can hope, right? Plus, I think the Academy likes Camila and wants to recognize her more than Bieber.

Do you guys think Take What You Want by Post Malone, Ozzy Osbourne, and Travis Scott will compete in pop or rock? I think Pop because the Pop Duo/Group Performance contenders are really weak. His only real competition is Rain On Me and Exile. If it is in pop it has a much better chance of winning than it does in rock. Thoughts?
