If Taylor hadn’t released , who do you guys think would be the front runner for BPVA?

    Harry.

I don’t think anybody disagrees on this but it’s wether “Blinding Lights” will be enough to push the weekend to get SOTY and AOTY as well.

I think it’ll be enough to get him SOTY but not AOTY.

I really hope we don’t get the same song winning both track awards again. Shit’s boring.

Dua Lipa > Lady Gaga > Post Malone > Harry Styles > Justin Bieber/Coldplay.

But twitter user @selenagomezluver12352 told me she’s a lock to win SOTY?

(I remember back when I had twitter how confident her fans were that she was winning not only BPSP but SOTY too. What a weird choice for such a short-lasting song by a truly awful singer)

! The claim in this post is disputed

I think a split ROTY/SOTY could happen, though i’m not predicting it. Given the political climate this year, it is possible SOTY goes to one of the BLM tracks released in the summer. This could be the year H.E.R finally wins something in the general field.

actually given the strong year he’s had, Lil Baby winning for The Bigger Picture could be more likely.

Since 2009, all of the winners in this category peaked at least at number #2 on the Hot 100. Here are songs echoed by the BLM movement that are in contention:

    • DaBaby ft. Roddy Ricch – ROCKSTAR (peaked #1 after the BLM Remix)
    • H.E.R. – I Can’t Breathe (did not chart)
    • Lil Baby – The Bigger Picture (peaked at #3)
    • Beyoncé – BLACK PARADE (peaked at #37)
