Mickey Guyton definitely has a huge chance to be nominated in BNA. She just made history by becoming the first black woman ever to perform at the ACMs and she is one of the VERY few black Country artists out there. This is a narrative they’ll want to embrace in a year like this.

    Rihanna performed in 2011.

Roddy Ricch can’t be nominated twice in Rap Performance, Melodic Rap Performance – yes.
The Chicks can’t be nominated in Country Solo, which I think you forgot to add the solo part?

The message is a very controversial statement that no other celebrity has made; ‘Trump BAD’

    Orange Man Bad.

But yeah, I don’t like Only the Young that much either. It’s thoroughly mediocre. That being said, I think it will make the cut at the Grammy’s. Not sure about the Oscars though.

YHLQMDLG will go down as one of the most influential eras in Latin music history. The visuals, it’s impact, acclaim, Benito’s social messages, the overall chart success… The BRP would be fools to omit this potentially historical moment in AOTY.

Tea. I’m seriously considering putting him into my AOTY predictions.

Well, HDD usually overestimates her on their very early predictions. The week with Big Sean they put a similar questions about whether or not she would do something and manage to hold onto number 1 when she ended up doing half Big Sean’s numbers. They get the swiffers all excited and get more clicks and site traffic when they make it seem like she has a shot.

Honestly, it depends on how many signed CD’s she had and the subsequent push they do this week (which could be very big based on the site CD’s and more CD’s in record stores as well). I can see her at anywhere between 5 and 1.

Edit: Regardless of that, I agree with what you said. The album is performing phenomenally and we love to see it!

    FYC:

AOTY: folklore, Gaslighter, Kid Krow, Ungodly Hour, Punisher, SAWAYAMA, Future Nostalgia, Manic

Non-sequitur of the day: 22, A Million (Bon Iver) deserved to win Album of the Year. I’m convinced i,i was nominated due to leftover passion for that album.

Get real!  Taylor Swift is NOT getting 7 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200.  Stop being delusional.
