in what world Khalid and Jonas Brothers were the top artist and not Ariana?

Ariana had nothing between march 2019 and march 2020. All her hits were before the deadline. Her album got nominated because it finished #2 on year end charts.

The US? lol I’m guessing this award is based on their artist 100 chart (as all of the Billboard awards are based on their charts)

This is just album units, not radio play, tour gross, all of which Top Artist takes into consideration.

Exactly, these are purely chart based awards, so Billboard has all the insights when deciding nominees.
Per Billboard, chart window for these awards is March 23,2019 till March 14 2020.

    BTS’ campaign is already annoying

They’re doing the most and will inevitably only get 1 filler nomination.

! The claim in this post is disputed

    BTS’ campaign is already annoying

They are doing exactly what they have always done. Just more people are taking notice and listening to them and becoming fans which in turn makes them more noticeable and gets more people listening and more fans, etc.
