    These came from a weeknd chart account (ChartsTheWeeknd) which seems to usually be accurate: After Hours: • Album of the Year • Best Progressive R&B Album • Best Engineered Album Blinding Lights: • Record of the Year • Song of the Year • Best Pop Solo Performance • Best Music Video Heartless: • Best R&B Song • Best R&B Performance In Your Eyes (feat. Doja Cat): • Best Pop Duo/Group Performance Smile: • Best Melodic Rap Performance Over Now: • Best Pop Duo/Group Performance In other news BPVA will be Gaga Taylor Dua Post Harry unless something insane happens

    I read somewhere Over Now was submitted in Best Dance Recording by Calvin Harris.

    The Weeknd submissions are amazing, he can score 6-7 nominations, based on the list.

    FYC Grammys 2021

    If this means Savage won’t compete with The Box then

    FYC :

    Best Actress - Viola Davis
    Best Actor - Delroy Lindo
    Best Supp Actress - Glenn Close
    Best Supp Actor - Chadwick Boseman

    Can someone do a recap of the submissions that have come out?

    Also I don’t get the hate for Selena. The song is beautiful and many people praised it. There are other two writers involved and producers who deserve something too. Its not just for Selena. And even if she gets one nomination it is just one year, she will not win, its not that serious. The hate artists get over awards is very dumb, imo

    I still think it’s unlikely Selena will get in though. The competition is too tough this year imo. Blinding Lights, The Bones and Adore You are locks for SOTY. Possible ones: H.E.R – I Can’t Breathe, Taylor Swift – Cardigan, Roddy Rich – The Box, Billie Eillish -Everything I Wanted, Lil Baby – The Bigger Picture, Post Malone – Circles, Dua Lipa – Don’t Start Now, Dixie Chicks – Gaslighter

    Selena has to beat these.

    manifesting

    • AOTY
    • Progressive R&B Album
    • ROTY
    • SOTY
    • Pop Solo Performance
    • Music Video
    • Pop Duo/Group Performance (name-checked)

    but I’m still worried that he may be completely shut out of the R&B field

    Honey, he’s right.  Selena Gomez should get singing lessons.  She is NOT a good singer.  “Lose You to Love Me” is terrible.  BARF!

    Off-topic : I have this kind of bad feeling regarding current Covid-19 pandemic situation, it’s worsening. May God protect us all, hopefully the upcoming Grammy can be held successfully even it’s just online event.

    Currently digging :

    * Joji - Nectar
    * Sufjan Steven - The Ascension
    * Marsicans - Ursa Major
    * Holly Humberstone - Falling Asleep At The Wheel
    * Rich Brian - 1999

    To be honest I’m kinda happy that Harry went with Adore You. It’s miles better than WS and is surly more deserving of GF recognition.

    I have it in ROTY for now, might add it to SOTY later.

    Lets see how BBMAS and AMAS will be held, I think the no audience rule will take place there, so the Grammys may follow suit.

    I think the Academy is already looking up the issue of the ceremony.

    Which Megan song do we think will get in Rap Performance? I’m thinking Savage Remix there and WAP in Rap Song, similar to Anaconda. At this point she has a huge chance of winning performance.

    Also, Roddy is a lock to win Melodic Rap, probably with The Box.

    I know it’s a no-factor, but is TURN OFF THE LIGHT eligible for Best Dance/Electronic Album?
