Saw the that prediction threads are filling up crazy fast, so I’m setting up new ones to break things up. This one’s specifically for Record/Song of the Year 🙂

This is a Blinding Lights lock, any other song will be a surprise.

I know ROTY and SOTY typically go hand-in-hand, but I’d say “Blinding Lights” is more of a “lock” for one and not the other.

    ROTY

    The Weeknd – Blinding Lights

    Roddy Ricch – The Box

Cardi B – WAP (feat. Megan thee Stallion)

    Post Malone – Circles

    Harry Styles – Adore You

Lil Baby – The Bigger Picture

Dua Lipa – Don’t Start Now

    Niche artist slot.

It’s a no-brainer who’s winning guys. We should debate on who may have chances of getting a nod.

I currently think both “Don’t Start Now” and “Circles” are entering in ROTY only. “Adore You” has a shot in entering both but I feel it is currently stronger in SOTY.

Quick question DaBaby obviously wants Rockstar in ROTY, can The Box miss and Rockstar appear ? Roddy Ritch is on both songs.

My list is not complete & subject to change by so far for ROTY I’m going with (no particular order)

    Say So – Doja Cat
    Blinding Lights – The Weeknd
    Adore You – Harry Styles
    The Box – Roddy Rich
    Shameika – Fiona Apple
    Circles – Post Malone
    (niche artist)
    another hit song

Edit — taking out Taylor Swift Cardigan, I think it will be an alternate

If they don’t want a Weeknd SOTY win, I think Adore You could be a dark horse winner.

Ehh, I feel like if anything they’ll give it to a stronger message, a la BLM.

Get real!  “Stay High” by Brittany Howard is NOT happening in Record of the Year.

What is everyone’s thoughts on WAP in ROTY? I truly believe it can get in despite not being a typical grammy song.
Also some advice: if you’re gonna say AY can win SOTY and that Fine Line is bigger than Hollywood’s Bleeding, then please don’t call anyone else biased.

WAP is not making it. Too vulgar for Grammy tastes.
