Random but who do all think will get the Khalid/Hozier/Lewis Capaldi treatment this year?
Only a SOTY or ROTY nomination and nothing else like it happened with Take me to church, Talk and Someone you loved

I think Dua may only get ROTY
! The claim in this post is disputed

I think it could happen to Doja (Say So in ROTY only) if the BRP gets petty and snubs her in BNA
Also Dance Monkey could surprise in one of these 2 categories
October 22, 2020 at 3:01 pm #1203797121Which (and how many) songs do you think will repeat in both categories? In the last years we had:
2020: 3/8
2019: 6/8
2018: 1/5 (but 3/5 artists)
2017: 3/5
2016: 3/5I know maybe I’m trying to find a pattern that simply doesn’t exist, but I’m currently predicting 4 to repeat (Blinding Lights, I Can’t Breathe, Circles and Shameika)

I personally think the songs with the potential are, “The Bigger Picture”, “Blinding Lights”, “cardigan”, “Circles”, “Shamieka”, and “Walking In the Snow”. I’m currently predicting “The Bigger Picture”, “Blinding Lights”, and “cardigan”. “Blinding Lights” is locked in both, “cardigan” could miss Record, “The Bigger Picture” could miss both.
October 22, 2020 at 3:24 pm #1203797153I’m not sold on “Shameika” in either category

October 22, 2020 at 9:06 pm #1203797523Get real! “Circles” is NOT happening in Song of the Year.
The only songs that will get in both Record of the Year and Song of the Year are:
“Blinding Lights”
“Don’t Start Now”Possible: “I Can’t Breathe” “Lockdown”
October 22, 2020 at 9:26 pm #1203797577Most people here are following the bandwagon and placing “The Bigger Picture” in the top 8 contenders. I just don’t think his brand of rap will go over well with voters just because he made a “timely song,” which isn’t even written that well.
Honey, you know damn well voters do NOT give a damn about good/great songwriting. Previous Song of the Year nominees and winners (“Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” “That’s What I Like,” “Shake It Off,” “Poker Face,” “You Belong With Me,” “Formation,” “Despacito,” and “Fallin'” among others) are indicative of that. In this extremely shitastic year and racial climate, “The Bigger Picture” can easily get in Song of the Year.

All bigger songs by bigger artists with bigger impact. I predict Lil Baby will be relegated to the rap field.
