Writing the songs all by yourself doesn’t automatically make you a good songwriter lmfaoooo. You can be self-written and suck or gave 6 writers a song and it be the shit. Nobody in real life actually cares about that bullshit except stans who try to fill in some insecure void to make themselves feel better.

Cardigan’s bridge alone is lyrically stunning. Y’all just don’t have the mental capacity to paint Taylor’s image with her lyrics. It’s poetry.

But I knew you’d linger like a tattoo kiss
I knew you’d haunt all of my what-ifs
The smell of smoke would hang around this long
‘Cause I knew everything when I was young
I knew I’d curse you for the longest time
Chasing shadows in the grocery line
I knew you’d miss me once the thrill expired
And you’d be standin’ in my front porch light
And I knew you’d come back to me
    You’d come back to me
And you’d come back to me
    And you’d come back

All solely written by her and Aaron Dessner

    No need for 15 songwriters.

Congratulations Taylor Swift on 6 Grammy Nominations

Writing a lyrical masterpiece ALONE does make you a good songwriter. Mamy people in modern music even have co-writers to help them write. Its rare to see a person write songs without any help. Even THE Carole King said too. 💀

ugh…..time to listen Cardigan again. A lyrical masterpiece poetry by Taylor.

the entire album is a beautiful masterpiece. Some people just can’t get over the fact that she has written cheesy pop songs about boyfriends in the past. the folklore album is proof that she has blossomed into a mature songwriter.

cardigan‘s lyrics are stunning, complex and profound. They marry her typical tropes with a much more grown up, inventive point of view. The moment the “bridge” begins that song hits the stratosphere and becomes epic. It would make a great SOTY winner.

Blank Space had genius and iconic lyrics. It deserved the win for sure.

Yes, whole album (Folklore) is a lyrical masterpiece. Above I was especially talking about Cardigan for SOTY. Anyways, why are you guys saying “if Blank Space couldn’t win SOTY then how can Cardigan”? Was Blank Space heavily predicted to win in 2016?

I’m a Swiftie through and through I love Blank Space but I don’t feel like it would have been a worthy winner. None of the tracks off 1989 stand alone as a her best lyrical work with the exception of Clean (but that wasn’t a single). Taylor won the correct award that year For the album as a whole. Ed had the more baity song and I never had BS picked as the winner. cardigan is a superior song and it would be a worthy SOTY winner. It checks all the boxes, #1 song, Grammy bait, and if the academy doesn’t want to hand her another AOTY Grammy, A Grammy for Song would be a great alternative.

Honey, just because a song is self-written, does NOT mean it’s amazing lyrically.  Swifties are beyond delusional.  Song of the Year, my ass!  YUCK!

Taylor Swift is one of the greatest songwriters of all-time. “cardigan” would be a worthy SOTY winner. She’s overdue IMO.

Sweetie, just because your fav Christina Aguilera can’t write a song, doesn’t mean you have to discredit songwriting as a talent. Don’t be shy, stop hiding behind a Adele pfp. We know you’re justing using it to not get dragged by others.♥️

Honey, “Cardigan” would be an awful Song of the Year winner.  BARF!  Thank goodness it is NOT winning, yet alone getting nominated.

Honey, the lyrics below are NOT profound.  Any 15-year-old can write this bullshit.  Lyrical masterpiece, my ass!  BARF!
