Progressive R&B Album or R&B Performance

For both of these categories, who do you think upsets?

Like Monsoon says, pretty much everyone has an outside chance in Progressive R&B. As far as Performance, Jacob could pull a Snarky Puppy, but thanks to his AOTY nod.

I could totally see Jacob Collier pulling off an upset in R&B Performance similar to the Snarky Puppy/Lalah Hathaway win a few years ago and would love to see that happen.

Honey, Robert Glasper, Free Nationals, and Thundercat have 0% chance of winning Best Progressive R&B Album.  That category is between Jhene Aiko and Chloe x Halle.  Let’s NOT overthink this.

The R&B field has given some of the most shocking wins in recent history. Expect an upset somewhere.

Exactly the reason TO overthink in this Field.

I’m really hoping an upset in R&B Song for Chloe and Halle to edge out Beyoncé

Watch out for Robert Glasper, H.E.R. & Meshell Ndegeocello as potential spoilers in R&B Song. “Better Than I Imagined” has GRAMMY bait written all over it.

Even though I chose “Do It” as the upset for R&B Song, I could totally see “Better Than I Imagine” being the dark horse for the win. This category is wide open this year IMO.

Jhené has Progressive R&B on lock. That category is always a popularity contest. Ungodly Hour deserved.

    Fearless (Taylor's Version) out now
    Daddy's Home out May 14th
L3 out in 2050 or when Antarctica melts due to climate change and Lorde the Penguin is forced to come back to society

For the love of everything good and righteous I hope this does NOT happen

So happy Chloe X Halle lost and Ledisi won her first. But they way they are saving the performance award tells me BeYawnCe is getting it.

The R&B field has the most unpredictable winners. Did anyone predict Thundercat?

Also, even though I predicted Chloe x Halle to win R&B Song as an upset, I was not too surprised to see Better Than I Imagined win yesterday. Even then, I thought both of H.E.R’s songs would cancel each other out.

On a brighter note, Me’Shell Ndegeocello is now a Grammy winner.
