Because you can clearly hear the difference in her vocals between Full Moon and NSN. She pushed her range in a way she never did on her previous albums. Also, she was no longer riding those typical ’90s R&B productions anymore. Full Moon and Aaliyah’s final album were both atypical for that time.

Honey, no you did NOT call Brandy a “has-been.”  Shade!  No artist can be on top forever.  Brandy worked extensively with Rodney Jerkins on Never S-A-Y Never and Full Moon.  I don’t get the “no longer riding those typical ’90s R&B productions anymore.”  Brandy never was that good of a singer.  Monica always made her know it, especially on “The Boy Is Mine.”

Aaliyah shits all over Full Moon.  It is a shame Aaliyah never won a Grammy.  🙁

What do you think of “Believe It” by PARTYNEXTDOOR & Rihanna? Do y’all think it could land in R&B Performance?

Nah. It doesn’t show longevity plus I don’t think PND is getting any love this year anyway . His album came and went + it was mid

Full Moon is more of a flexible album than Never Say Never for many reasons. FM introduced a unique sound in Contemporary R&B in the early 00s with Rodney taking the production to another level + Brandy vocals shine best there.any artists cite that album as well.

Brandy? Not a good singer? I get that you like screaming banshees, but stop the madness.

And Brandy is a has-been, albeit a respected one, like Toni Braxton and Christina Aguilera.

And there was nothing ‘90s about the production of FM.

Brandy, Xtina, & Toni are legacy acts. Their music is still being played. Stages are still being booked. And their fans still support them. A true has been can’t say that. 😉

WORD!!! Toni’s last concert i attended was sold-out, causing traffic jams in Brooklyn.

I saw Toni in Chicago at a sold out show. That’s far from being a has been. Sis is still selling out venues with her catalog of music. Same goes for Xtina & Brandy.

Tell that to the “experts” here with that stick up their butt.
