Grammys will continue praising white artists and give them sweep after sweep but snub black artists and only have Beyonce as their token black person to nominate every year it’s sad. They really don’t give a shit

And all these nominations for Beyonce and she didn’t touch AOTY once… like it’s mind blowing how they don’t give one shit

It is pretty much confirmed that Abel is not that loved by general voters. Starboy missed all general and pop fields despite having Daft Punk collab. He’s heavily relied on committee which explain his win in the genre field. The moment he betrayed R&B by submitting After Hours to pop, he has no support from R&B voters. As conclusion, no general votes + no committee votes = zero nomination. Case closed

    For you consideration :

Album of the year : folklore
Record of the year : Don't Start Now
Song of the year : cardigan
Best new artist : Phoebe Bridgers

Best pop vocal album : folklore
    Best rap album : Alfredo
Best alternative music album : Fetch the Bolt Cutters
Best progressive R&B album : Ungodly Hour

sweetheart there is an article for snubbed artists every year. I am sure people are shocked that he got snubbed but at the end of the day no one fucking cares. Just like no one would care if anyone else were snubbed.

YEAH, like literally they made fun of Taylor having countless articles talking about how she was ignored two albums straight and will not get nominated for folklore. An advice for the weeknd stan, you will all move on from this as we swifties have moved on reading countless snubbing articles for taylor during lover and rep. I genuinely hope you all have a peace of heart, like it’s hard to accept it but it is what it is.

Yeah I’m putting Billie as going 4/4. It’ll be really competitive though

! The claim in this post is disputed

Don’t be surprised if Billie divides votes with Taylor and Dua.

The ammount of support I see for Abel on social media is crazy

even people who are not his fans ……. I think this snub will be a good thing for him in in the end

He has the SB coming and Blinding lights still a a huge hit. The public is on his side.

Say what you say, but BL losing the voted-pop Solo category hits Bad to whatever critisism The Weeknd fans have. He wasn’t voted in a 6 nominee line-up, maybe the same thing happened in the GF discussions, where maybe the committee was good with the choices representing the year, when you have Black Pumas in AOTY, Black Parade in ROTY. These projects speak about the issue. That’s why I said here sometime ago The Weeknd may be passed over for BLM projects.

And she’s probably still not winning anything in the GF.

The Weeknd doesn’t have the same appeal as someone like Bruno Mars.

I think the industry likes him but he isn’t beloved. After Hours missing feels very intentional 👀

why are u so mad about Taylor getting her deserved nominations? folklore is a great album and deserves an AOTY nom.

It was Abel is gonna get nominated because of BLM and now it’s he’s snubbed because he can’t get enough votes. Y’all don’t even pretend to not be anti-black lol. He went with pop to make a statement about how black artists are treated when they attempt to go into pop and not their “urban” or r&b categories and we got the message loud and clear.
