First of all, I’m not white.

November 24, 2020 at 4:51 pm #1203868358Artists lashing out on social media after Grammy snubs are nothing new. It happens every year. Abel does have the right to speak up, but it’s interesting that these artists are good with the Grammys as long as they are being recognized. The Grammys were shit when they did care about Abel (who has SZA’s Grammy for Urban Contemporary Album!).
The Grammys are becoming increasingly irrelevant, but it hurts more because the Grammys are still the most important award to win in music (unless you win a Peabody, Oscar or Pulitzer Prize). I’m sure Jacob Collier, Black Pumas and others work hard on their craft to be recognized, so we can’t completely discredit them just because they are obscure. I’d prefer them being recognized than a stacking of the deck situation for Taylor Swift.
The thing is that Jacob and Black Pumas are only there to help Miss Taylor to get an easy win
November 24, 2020 at 4:51 pm #1203868360So fucking disrespectful to the other nominees who are happy about their achievements. (Not Bieber who is a spoiled little twat). But how about people like That Jacob kid who everyone will get to know his music, Black Pumas, HAIM, Chloe X Halle, Roddy!
Taylor didn’t seem to be sad or disrespected … fuck the nominees, everyone knows who he is referring to, everyone knows who should be there and who shouldn’t. You can keep pretending, but this grammy will be the most bitter
AGAIN: ISN’T ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT
November 24, 2020 at 4:51 pm #1203868362Expose them!
This makes no sense especially when both events are on CBS
November 24, 2020 at 4:51 pm #1203868365The thing is that Jacob and Black Pumas are only there to help Miss Taylor to get an easy win
Also to highlight worthy artists who wouldn’t make the cut in a popular vote.
November 24, 2020 at 4:52 pm #1203868367The Weeknd could’ve easily used his snubs as a narrative to win awards during the next era. 🤦🏾♂️
November 24, 2020 at 4:52 pm #1203868369Taylor didn’t need to call them out for being corrupt because they were never corrupt against her. They gave her 41 nominations and 2 AOTY wins. Abel has to choose between getting nominations for his best album to date and one of the biggest songs ever and performing at the super bowl is fucking corrupt and y’all calling him thirsty??? He can very rightfully be mad. And he didn’t say anything about other artists so it’s not disrespectful to them.
November 24, 2020 at 4:52 pm #1203868371Looks like BLM and massive campaigning did not really work in anyone’s favor this year. Taylor campaigned less and still got nominated. Beyoncé has only promoting her clothing on social media. Fiona Apple still managed three nods, the most she has received in any eligible year. Although forgotten in pop, Post still managed three marquee nods.
All trends went out the window this year.
November 24, 2020 at 4:52 pm #1203868373Didn’t she make history when she became the first woman to win AOTY for her own work twice? This whole “narrative” thing is political as hell. Taylor doesn’t need to win another AOTY to solidify her status in the industry. Neither did she need to be given an easy win by snubbing competitive artists from the race. The Grammys still haven’t learned anything from the Dugan fiasco, and that was only a year ago!
she deserves to make history again for making another impeccable record. Again why is Taylor the problem here? Good sis releases an album and she disappeared into the woods. If voters are that shit up that speaks volume about the quality of her music and she is beloved.
Congratulations Taylor Swift on 6 Grammy Nominations

Song Written for Visual Media: Beautiful GhostsNovember 24, 2020 at 4:53 pm #1203868380He is absolutely right though. The Grammy’s have no transparency. Where’s the issue with publishing data on how many people are voting? And who actually made the top 20 list? How can you explain such a big snub that literally the entire industry is appalled by.
He could do this without openly saying Grammys are corrupt, to all the people nominated and not nominated it comes off as immature. If the BRP sat down and heard all these top20 albums and said After Hours is not worthy of AOTY nom, the story ends there.
November 24, 2020 at 4:53 pm #1203868382Please stop. If Taylor or any other artist would have been snubbed she wouldn’t take to twitter to attack the awards that snubbed her. Brittany Howard isn’t doing it. Phoebe Bridgers isn’t doing it. This is a pretty clear cut situation. Weeknd is being an immature brat and he has every right to be but doing it in public is NOT a good look.
November 24, 2020 at 4:53 pm #1203868384Well, if you don’t see a problem in having probably the biggest artist of the year completely shut out of every single category, then you’re a part of the problem.
Swifties are always making everything about Taylor. She was “ignored” in AOTY after winning TWICE. Go check out the stats on black artists.
The Weeknd has every right to complain. It’s not the first time the Grammys f*cked up with black artists. Taylor stans just don’t care about it because it doesn’t affect her. Pathetic.
