Dont be so sensitive. One of the wealthiest and most popular pop singer is not opressed in any way since he’s richer and more powerful than 99% of other people.
that means shit if other people have the perception that he is less than them purely based off their skin or the generational trauma they face. As a grandchild of Holocaust survivors generational trauma is insanely harmful
November 25, 2020 at 4:28 am #1203870976I get the point that Abel lost R&B support. The biggest mystery is how the hell Mustin get so much votes. . . . Fucking KIM Scooter BraUN
epiphany u r forgetting that he didn’t get a a rnb nom. It was pop. Did you not read his annoying rant
November 25, 2020 at 4:29 am #1203870978If you’re white you will have an easier time getting nominated than a POC.
Even Dr. Luke managed to get a Record of the Year nomination this year. Talk about how easy it is for white artists to get nominated even if they have a horrible reputation.

Because not many vote in the first round.
November 25, 2020 at 4:32 am #1203870989Um Fiona wasn’t an AOTY favourite from the beginning, she’s always relegated to her alt categories and virtually no one outside these forums and stan twt is aware of Rina Sawayama so y’all should stop reaching a bit. The only anomaly in the AOTY noms is coldplay. All of the rest were in the race since a long time now. Post was severely underrated here for some reason. The lineup looks weird to some of y’all who don’t consider anyone non mainstream in your predictions.
November 25, 2020 at 4:35 am #1203870996The AOTY race was always Taylor x Abel x dua x Post/Roddy. Fiona wasn’t getting any AOTY nominations please, her album was too inaccessible and exclusive for that and the fact that she didn’t even get best engineered proves she didn’t have much support from her own genre. The only major upset was Abel.

The fact there’s a tie might show only like 500 people voted again hence you could get nominated with maybe like 30-40 votes.
November 25, 2020 at 4:35 am #1203871000Black Pumas are currently nominated in AOTY for a deluxe version of a 2019 album. That’s ridiculous.

It’s really not

500 overall maybe. But in the pop categories probably much less. I’m guessing 50-80 votes in the pop categories lol. So if you can lobby 10-20 voters to vote for you (from producers, songwriters, engineers you worked with in the past) you could have a pretty good chance of getting in.
November 25, 2020 at 4:42 am #1203871013Honey, they gave Taylor Swift a fourth Album of the Year nomination, but snubbed Fiona Apple (who had the better album). YUCK!

“LOBBY”
Interesting
For you consideration :
Album of the year : folklore
Record of the year : Don't Start Now
Song of the year : cardigan
Best new artist : Phoebe BridgersBest pop vocal album : folklore
Best rap album : Alfredo
Best alternative music album : Fetch the Bolt Cutters
Best progressive R&B album : Ungodly HourNovember 25, 2020 at 4:45 am #1203871023Voter turnout is certainly very depressed. Newcat used to provide us with submissions now he doesn’t care to vote anymore. It just shows that people don’t find it worth it to pay 100$ fee to vote in an award show that lost credibility.

Wow I didn’t know the number of voters was that low. It’s more easy to manipulate some categories that way
November 25, 2020 at 4:52 am #1203871038Joe Alwyn will be receiving a Grammy before some of yalls faves. Think about that.
