A very mature response from him. I respect that.

Glad to see he stopped the “Super Bowl got me blacklisted!!!” and admitted he was just angry. Hopefully his stans, on here and elsewhere, can finally do the same.

I think The Weeknds last response is very wise and mature

Sympathy. Watch his label still submit his work. 😭. Anyways Save Your Tears with Ariana is stronger than all her other singles so I would be here for it.

good for Anel, and I’m happy that we don’t have to discuss his Grammy status and focus on his music. Can’t wait for the new era

Some of what The Weeknd said was petty and narcissistic. But him getting completely snubbed did further reveal the logic gaps and the politics of the Grammy voting system. And there’s nothing wrong with putting a light on that.

What politics? He didn’t get enough votes to be nominated in a category without a committee. The Weeknd did NOT make the top 20 for the General Field Panel to consider him.

why wouldn’t she submit? It’s the biggest hit of the year. She should seriously consider submitting Levitating (Live Studio 2054) into Pop Solo.

He’s laying the groundwork to do a 180 and submit his new work.

Don’t speak to folks like they’re retardo’s. Of course, he didn’t get enough votes. It’s the reasons why he didn’t get enough that highlight some of the limitations, issues and hypocrisies with the voting system and the academy. We’ve already done this back and forth to death. And I’ve already given very nuanced, well explained, non biased posts. So, I’m not gonna waste my time again with people pretending not to “get it” or pretending that him getting completely overlooked is not one of the most outrageous things we’ve seen from the Grammys. I’m not about to play pretend again.

I have a problem with the weekend backtracking on his statements and not being transparent about it. If you think that you were black listed because of your super bowl performance then stand your ground? It’s pretty weird to just backtrack now and say “maybe they didn’t like me” It makes him look petty. It’s increasingly obvious now that he didn’t have much evidence for the corruption he was touting and was simply angry and confused at not getting noms. Might be harsh but that’s what I get from this chain of events.

Claiming to be “blacklisted” without any real evidence was dumb and made him come off petty. Especially since there were other issues to breakdown.
