A lot of people discussing hypothetical projects when Kacey’s is the only one that’s (basically) confirmed. I’m not gonna worry about Bey, Kendrick, Kanye, etc. until they actually release.

Yep. People are making up release dates that don’t exist and it’s annoying me.

Predictions for Solar Power debut are not great. With that and her terrible critical reception it’s safe to say she is not happening

Looking back on the forum and I find it kinda hilarious people thought Billie or Olivia could get Noms in Best Rock Song. Last year was the first time all the nominees in Best Rock Performance were all women, and just the taste of pop in Olivia and Billie’s songs would turn off voters. The lack of committees may make what I’m saying null and void, but it would be a seriously odd selection if they get in there over actual rock acts.

Wolf Alice and Julien Baker for rock Noms though please!

Not much to see here I’m afraid...

that’s not the point. the point is that they don’t stand a chance at a nomination.

If Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch and P!nk got nominations in the rock categories in the early-mid 00’s why can’t Olivia (brutal) and Billie (HTE)?

Billie wouldn’t have swept the 2020 Grammys without at least some of the rock voters’ support. While it’s unlikely she’ll get a nom in Rock Performance/Song, I wouldn’t say it’s unreasonable to think she could end up popping up as a surprise nom.

Right? There’s LOADS of popstars who’ve been nominated in rock. I’m really not sure why people are acting like it’s impossible for one of the biggest grammy darlings ever and the biggest artist of the year to get in.

If Florence + The Machine, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, Elle King etc. can all get nominated, then I don’t see why Olivia and especially Billie can’t.
