I’m going to go out on a limb and predict strongly that Kanye will NOT get an AOTY nomination.

Other artists are criticizing the album vocally for not including work that Kanye specifically asked them for. There is a noticeable absence in social media posts from artists/celebrities hyping up the album, even many artists who ARE featured are not highlighting the songs or album. It seems like there is a groundswell of disappointment attached to this release that’s never really happened with a Kanye album previously.

If he’s not getting support amongst the Hip Hop community I could definitely see a scenario where that comes back to haunt the album during Grammy time.

Are you guys still predicting J. Cole in any categories? I have him in all 4 rap categories but his album kind of came and went.

Rap got in 2-3 times BECAUSE of the committee. Without it whomever the rap field rallies behind will get a nod but likely no one else.

Beyonce is still coming in September.

    I hope that’s true.

It’s crazy how many huge projects/albums will drop in this last month for Grammys 2022. Maybe 4/8 AoTY nominees will come from this September…

    I’m excited!

He’s secured a Rap Album nod, methinks. Not sure about the rest, but could receive at least one in Rap Performance or Rap Song (maybe both).
I think Tyler has a greater chance of getting multiple Rap field noms than Cole. I expect Cardi and Megan in Rap Performance and Rap Song too.

Beyoncé has been very active and not very quiet these past few weeks. I’m still predicting a September 10th release.

He’ll definitely get a Best Rap Album nod. I’d bet on that. MAYBE best Melodic Rap Performance for My Life but I don’t think he’ll go 4/4 in nominations

I know the Grammy voters have creamed themselves over Skrillex time and time again, but please just give this one to Jessie Ware already!!

it would be a bit disappointing to see a song like HTN being nominated for pop.

Beyoncé has been very active and not very quiet these past few weeks. I’m still predicting a September 10th release.

At first I thought maybe September 3rd as her birthday is the day after but September 10th could be likely. Especially now Drake is dropping on the 3rd.

I can see her announcing the album on her birthday, with a release on the 10th. Or knowing Bey, it’ll just be a surprise drop anyway. I really hope the rumors are true and we get the album in September. It’s been way too long.

We are now only 5 months from Grammys 2022 Ceremony:

Promo should become more visible from this week on, expect many live albums, new releases, tv or internet promo from our contenders. The eligibility period ends Sept. 30th and voting starts right after. Nominations should be out by end of November.
