Grammy voters getting ready to nominate Morgan for AOTY one year after giving a song called “I Can’t Breathe” SOTY. I sincerely hope I’m wrong about this btw but literally all the signs are pointing to Morgan being a lock for noms across the board in country and a possible AOTY nom too.

the thing is it wouldn’t even be random atp 😭

‘Love for Sale’ is brilliant, Gaga vocals are heavenly.

Yesterday she did a promo live concert, she was phenomenal.

They nominated Dr Luke and snubbed Kesha completely just a few years after they got her to perform Praying, so I don’t trully expect much on them

First set of confirmed Grammy submissions courtesy of the LA Times: Morgan Wallen Dangerous: The Double Album – AOTY, Country Album 7 Summers – ROTY, SOTY, Music Video Sand in My Boots – Country Solo Performance, Country Song Only Thing That’s Gone – Country Duo/Group Performance It appears he was not submitted for Best New Artist.

Will be absolutely disgusted if he gets nominated.

The racism aside, is Morgan’s music any Grammy worthy though? Like, what are your actual opinions? I heard some songs in passing and can’t even remember any of them.

I figured he wouldn’t be eligible for BNA. He’s been eligible since 2018.

His music is actually good. And for someone who don’t listen to Country that’s something.

I have never heard any of his music (and not intending to) but he would’ve 1000000% been a committee pick. Similarly with Post Malone.

Country committees literally blocked The Chicks and High Women! That’s all you need to know.

And gave Dan and Shay (same label) 3 consecutive BCDGP wins

Thankfully they’re out! Country voters need to do better.

Those acts (The Chicks, High Women) not only would’ve got nominated and win, they would’ve changed country music! And they were all blocked! I honestly have no idea how those Country committees worked.

Kacey Musgraves still would’ve gotten in and win AOTY under a straight vote due to her progressive, Pop-appealing album.

Here are my latest predictions, now the eligibility period is over.

    Album of the Year:
Happier Than Ever – Billie Eilish
    Sour – Olivia Rodrigo
    MONTERO – Lil Nas X
    Star-Crossed – Kacey Musgraves
Love For Sale – Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga
Medicine At Midnight – Foo Fighters
    Starting Over – Chris Stapleton
    Heaux Tales – Jazmine Sullivan

    Record of the Year:
    Drivers Licence – Olivia Rodrigo
Leave The Door Open – Silk Sonic
Happier Than Ever – Billie Eilish
MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) – Lil Nas X
Kiss Me More – Doja Cat ft. SZA
    Positions – Ariana Grande
Stay – The Kid Laroi & Justin Bieber
DAKITI – Bad Bunny & Jhay Cortez

    Song of the Year:
    Drivers Licence – Olivia Rodrigo
Leave The Door Open – Silk Sonic
    Your Power – Billie Eilish
MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) – Lil Nas X
    Starting Over – Chris Stapleton
    Shame Shame – Foo Fighters
    Damage – H.E.R.
    Good Days – SZA

    Best New Artist:
    Olivia Rodrigo
    The Kid Laroi
    Saweetie
    Polo G
    Arlo Parks
    Girl in Red
    Gabby Barrett
    Rauw Alejandro

Even though there is no strong frontrunner this year, I’d say it makes it more interesting – despite a lack of huge industry names dropping this eligibility period, it’s very hard to predict who’ll get the big three. Olivia almost is a lock for a BNA win though. That’s the only one I can confidently predict.

If I had to pick right now, then I’d have Leave The Door Open as the SOTY frontrunner, Drivers Licence for the ROTY frontrunner, and probably Happier Than Ever for AOTY.

His music is really not my thing at all, but “7 Summers” is a good song.

Since Love For Sale is eligible for this year’s Grammys ceremony, I honestly think it has a really strong chance of winning. I don’t really think there’s a clear-cut frontrunner out of the huge releases from this year, so I think it could be a very strong darkhorse contender to win. It’s their last chance at honoring Tony Bennett, and Gaga has crossover appeal with voters.

I actually enjoyed L4S. But come on a damn covers album over impactful original music? I’d rather Certified lover Boy DONDA or Bieber win any day.

ALBUM: evermore, Montero, Planet Her, SOUR
RECORD: Happier than Ever, Driver’s License, Leave the Door Open
    SONG: Driver’s License
    BNA: Olivia Rodrigo
    POP SOLO: Driver’s License
    POP ALBUM: SOUR
    POP DUO: Kiss me More
MUSIC VIDEO: Montero, Good 4 U
