I fear that Homophobia is going to win and Lil Nas X underwhelms with Grammy nominations. His only lock is in Best Pop Solo and Music Video. Every other category I can see him easily being looked over.

Ill be honest, before this year I considered Lil Nas X an overrated 1 hit wonder. This year he has proven himself to me as a great musician. He deserves some Grammy love at least with nominations

I don’t see him getting more than 4 nominations tbh. I think the album is overrated critically speaking but the album is worthy of at least a Best Pop Vocal Album nom/win.

Currently I have him competing in:

    Record of the Year
    Pop Solo Performance
    Melodic Rap Performance
    Best Music Video

If he gets more than that it’s a plus.

I rather having quality cover album winning over original shitty music

i rather have evermore, Sour, HTE or El Ultimo Tour than a basic and boring album full of Jazz covers.

The article reads like he as writer learnt internally about the confirmation of the eligibility. https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/awards/9638836/lady-gaga-tony-bennett-album-eligible-2022-grammys

So they are being all extra about the secrecy of the submissions, yet they don’t have any problem with getting the word out there about this. They don’t even pretend anymore when their favorites are involved lol

Honestly they should just publish the list of the submissions when the voting begins.

Exactly, if anything this helps them as people keep talking about it. How come they think that Natalie revealing 50 or so mainstream artists submissions is unfair FYC. All we’ll have then is Billboard and HDD doing predictions with the same 10 names, didn’t help them fight voting trade.

Olivia is not proven, I don’t get why we see Olivia above Billie in the prediction center.

She has the biggest album of the year by any artist who wasn’t caught on camera using a racial slur. Grammy voters love rewarding commercial success, especially for breakout artists. Olivia is a lock in all the top categories just as Billie is.

well if Morgan didn’t have the time advantage Sour would have already sold more than his album.

Like lots of females get nominated for pop categories and most pop get nominated for general categories such as Album, Record, Song, Pop Solo, Pop Duo, and Pop Album

House Of Gucci does really drop right on time for the 2nd round voting to create buzz around her name. Traditional pop album is on lock but they could be competitive in pop duo if they sneak in a nomation there. AOTY isn’t happening tho, it’s clearly not the album of the year.

I hope olivia and her team submit Deja Vu for best pop solo, it’s the best single on sour by far and could definitely give her a win just as much as g4u

I could see Olivia taking pop album and Billie AOTY again. Despite having a poprock sound, Olivia feels too much like a typical teen pop sensation to really take any votes from an other voting block than pop. But a split like that already happened last year so that makes me a bit doubtful again about it. Cause things seem to rarely repeat like that at the Grammys.

I personally don’t think they should submit Deja Vu. “drivers license” and “good 4 u” seem stronger. Like I said in the past, I see Olivia’s team splitting submissions with DL in SOTY and G4U in ROTY. BPSP is a mystery to me as both songs have potential to get nominated there.
