October 20, 2021 at 4:23 pm #1204529025hihihihi Taylor is for sure getting nommed.
And the FYC ad went to the trouble of highlighting a quote about it being “alt-rock”. Could that be a hint of its category?
October 20, 2021 at 4:30 pm #1204529041Apparently this is Taylor’s FYC ad for evermore. I wonder if the emphasis on “alt-rock” means the album was submitted to Alternative.
ngl i liked how minimalist this is
October 20, 2021 at 4:32 pm #1204529051I mean I guess if Halsey is competing in Alternative it’s only fair if Evermore competes too. Sonically they are pretty much the same genre.
October 20, 2021 at 6:07 pm #1204529201i think taylor submitted to pop, but they are trying to garner rock voters. maybe the same thing with miley
October 20, 2021 at 7:16 pm #1204529272okay so i know y’all aren’t really into it that much, but the american roots categories are the most competitive i’ve seen in years
alison krauss? brandi carlile? gregory alan isakov? adrianne lenker? sturgill simpson? willie nelson? sarah jarosz? yola? bill callahan? rhiannon giddens? steve earle? valerie june? the staves?
ALL DESERVE TO BE NOMINATED.

A 13-way tie leading to all being nominated for American Roots Performance yep yep
October 20, 2021 at 7:41 pm #1204529309I’d bet that Taylor’s team though they had nothing to lose this year trying alternative. Plus having 3-4 songs with Justin Vernon either playing/writing/doing backing vocals, plus Matt Berninger and Marcus Mumford and the overall sound of evermore…I’m wouldn’t count her out in AA just yet.
Which reminds me, might Matt sneak in for his solo album? It was kinda of low-key but he did do a lot of promo for it.
October 20, 2021 at 7:45 pm #1204529322Miley has a chance for best rock performance category. She deserves the recognition
I think she could get a Rock Perf nomination for Nothing Else Matters
But I don’t see rock voters voting for Plastic Hearts
October 20, 2021 at 7:49 pm #1204529335miley’s cover on the blacklist album was one of the worst on the album. why would they nominate it over the DOZENS of better covers on the album?
October 20, 2021 at 7:57 pm #1204529346Apparently this is Taylor’s FYC ad for evermore. I wonder if the emphasis on “alt-rock” means the album was submitted to Alternative.
Ladies and gentlemen, our AOTY winner!
October 20, 2021 at 8:00 pm #1204529353if taylor was smart, she’d have submitted to pop where she’d get a nom and just rely on the big red machine album to get her an alternative nom
October 20, 2021 at 8:36 pm #1204529406I don’t think the BRM is going anywhere, sadly.
October 20, 2021 at 8:40 pm #1204529414In Alternative Taylor really would have nothing to lose, plus she’d be guaranteed to be nominated in there. Doja should’ve also submitted in Progressive R&B in an attempt to sneak and guarantee an easy nomination.
I do believe BRM could get a nomination, but only in Alternative Music Album. So if Taylor was in there, Aaron would be nominated for 2/5 albums.
