as he shouldn’t. The Grammys stay losing with every black person being snubbed or losing every year.

    RIP SOPHIE

Please don’t make The Weeknd’s embarrassing missing into a race issue when:
    1. 5 other songs by black artists were nominated in ROTY; 1 of which was actually about black issues, 3 other in SOTY; 2 of which was actually about black issues and one of them taking the award home, and 1 song by a black female artist in Pop Solo.
    2. “Blinding Lights” is as ‘white friendly’ a song can be…

Race was absolutely not a factor.

To get a pop nom, you either have to be likable or at the top of your game. Demi has none of those prerequisites. She’s not getting in.

Justin Bieber received nominations after pissing in a bucket, driving recklessly, using the N-word, attacking photographers, treating his fans like crap, and being an all-around D-Bag…but that’s likeable?

Changes might’ve had a couple hits but he wasn’t exactly at the top of his game either.

So I guess neither of those prerequisites applies to Men, huh? Only Pop Females? The double standards are sickening.

Sis there were many POC winners two of which won in the general field. Abel just wasn’t liked by the Academy.

Honey, let’s NOT be delusional.  Race was definitely an issue (and choosing Super Bowl over Grammys) as to why The Weeknd was completely snubbed.

Yes, but Justin was still on top of the game after all that.

Let’s not sleep on Queen Julia Michaels! Her debut album comes out next week, she has worked with pretty much everyone in the industry and has two general field nominations to her name!

No. There’s an obvious double standard. As a Taylor Swift fan you should know. Reputation only got 1 nod after the world turned on her.

Yet Kanye, Chris Brown, & Justin were showered with nominations & awards after exhibiting bad behavior.

Is it too late for Save Your Tears to win Best Pop Duo/Group Performance against The Weeeknd’s will or consent? lol I’d still vote for Levitating but this was heavenly!

    FYC:

Record of the Year: Hit Different by SZA ft. Pharrell Williams & co.
Song of the Year: Good Days by SZA ft. Jacob Collier

Bieber didn’t get any nods when he was on that shit. He came back to Grammy contention with Purpose, which pretty much served as course correction to the GP.

Didn’t he get busted for something around the time of the Jack Ü collaboration?
