I doubt Levitating is the front runner judging from this year Grammy, she should easily win BPSP yet failed to do it. My money is on Drivers License for BPSP, Olivia can snatch BPVA if the album slays. Positions and Justice are pretty weak meanwhile Taylor being Taylor, bitch doesn’t care so far. Need to wait BrunoxAnderson album, and I’m not even sure if they will submit it to pop or Progressive R&B.

Yes! The Pop field is still weak in general.

Kinda unrelated but I can’t find the right thread for it. I feel like Dua Lipa’s career trajectory definitely changed after the grammys. Like her performance went viral everywhere, she got so much praise from locals and critics and FN winning BPVA seemed like an official crowning moment for her main pop girl status. I remember so many people dismissing her before especially after the Rolling Stones article even though she had had a couple of hits in the USA by that point but after the grammys it seems obvs.. she’s a main pop girl now. Things are looking pretty good for her. She revealed in a insta live(?) that she’s working on DL3 and it will be pop but not disco pop. I think it’s gonna be a huge success, much bigger than FN. Say what you want about the grammys but they still have a lot of credibility. They still do wonders for a young artist’s career.

After her Grammys perf. FN went #3 on BB200 and has stayed inside top10 of BB200 since then. HDD predicts this week to be #10 which is pretty stable. Her debut album peaked outside top20(also had a re-issue), i think she is gaining ground in US , but she needs to work carefully on her next album so she doesnt dissapoint. She has a great team and a label.

It all comes down to who gets nominated imo, for example if Billie gets in with Rosalía it’s over for Dua x DaBaby.

My Grammys 2022 Predictions (Not In Order) Album Of The Year 5. Morgan Wallen

Interesting predictions overall but I don’t think Morgan Wallen (who was cancelled for using racial slurs and was dropped by his label) is happening in album of the year, only a year after H.E.R. won SOTY for I Can’t Breathe.

Lol Billie is not winning with a forgotten song that bombed commercially, especially considering Pop voters said no to ROTY winners “bad guy” and “everything i wanted”. Pop Duo is going to Gaga & Tony Bennett.

I would LOVE to believe this… I am HOPING and DYING and DESPERATE to believe this…

But knowing the Grammys, they’d probably pull of some dumb sh*t!

I know she’s not winning lmao but she’s definitely likely to at least score a nomination.

especially considering Pop voters said no to ROTY winners “bad guy” and “everything i wanted”.

Pop voters also said yes to Billie’s album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”.

I’ve seen that a new Marina album is coming out. Is she a factor in any way? I have no idea lol.

Wonder will go anywhere near the Grammys. Neither will Morgan Wallen. Unfortunately, I think neither will Miley (even if she deserved). I think Evermore will be easily forgotten because of its common narrative with folklore, it feels like it has been already awarded. Taylor is also putting out a lot so the attention has shifted. I think the Levitating collab will be the only thing that will be strong enough to resist from 2020.

I cannot stress how much Arlo Parks is in for Best New Artist at least.

Unfortunately, Marina never got a Grammy nom, her work is not that acclaimed to generate Grammys buzz. She will announce a new album today.

I would love to see Marina win a Grammy 🙁 Sadly it’s not happening by any means unless its critical reception turns out to be “universal acclaim” (not happening) or she makes a huge commercial impact (not happening either).

I cannot stress how much Arlo Parks is in for Best New Artist at least.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Please people, really do check out her album! It’s great stuff.

yeah. Are y’all forgetting Rain On Me came out in May? Old Town Road blew up around this time last year. And Shallow literally came out the last friday of the eligibility period. Wait a couple of weeks.

I think Kiss Me More could be a huge contender in Pop Duo. It’s my hope. Plus it gives Doja and SZA their first Grammys.

    RIP SOPHIE
