Could get messy but it’ll be interesting to see for sure. No more blocks.

For real I think this will bring more harm than good. I agree with others that they should follow Oscar by revealing the Top 20 first.

    For you consideration :

Album of the year : evermore
Record of the year : willow
Song of the year : willow
Best pop vocal album : evermore
Best pop solo performance : willow
Best pop duo/group performance : no body no crime (feat. HAIM)

The general field will probably be dominated by popularity now a lot more. Like I wasnt really predicting Ariana or Taylor this year, but now it does get a lot more likely.

Updated predictions after hearing the grammys have decided to completely screw over independent artists since The Weeknd, who has a net worth of ~$100 million, had his feelings hurt. Alphabetical Order.

In case anyone’s wondering this also means that Gabby Barrett, the trumpie, is easily going to walk into a Best New Artist nods. Morgan Wallen, the racist, is now competitive again and is going to easily win a few grammys in country providing he gets in. What a great decision!

    Album Of The Year

    1. Justice-Justin Bieber
    2. Happier Than Ever-Billie Eilish
    3. Positions-Ariana Grande
    4. Montero-Lil Nas X
    5. Sour-Olivia Rodrigo
    6. An Evening With Silk Sonic-Silk Sonic
    7. Evermore-Taylor Swift
    8. Good News-Megan Thee Stallion

How great that St. Vincent and Jazmine Sullivan now have no chance at an AOTY nod while Justice and Positions are going to easily get in.

    Record Of The Year

    1. WAP-Cardi B ft. Megan Thee Stallion
    2. Kiss Me More-Doja Cat ft. Sza
    3. Your Power-Billie Eilish
    4. Positions-Ariana Grande
    5. Levitating-Dua Lipa ft. DaBaby
    6. Drivers License-Olivia Rodrigo
    7. Leave The Door Open-Silk Sonic
    8. Peaches-Justin Bieber ft. Daniel Caeser & Giveon

SOTY is the exact same as ROTY except Willow instead of Levitating

Genuinely hope small artists rally against this bullshit.

    FYC
    AOTY: Blue Weekend-Wolf Alice
    ROTY/SOTY: WAP-Cardi B ft. Megan Thee Stallion
    Best Drama Actress: Mj Rodriguez

The Weeknd announced that he was no longer submitting anything to the Grammys because of their secret panels, and they got rid of those panels in their next group meeting. That is what you call powers right there. I know that they were scared to their core once they saw those disastrous ratings. If I were The Weeknd, I would still not submit anything because you know that they are waiting to throw nominations at him for them to do that

I do agree the distinction between roty and soty could suffer from this. The panel did at least try to bring some variety into it lately.

This Is America won because of message and Despacito was too basic to win ROTY.

    <p style=”text-align: left;”>

I feel like they should include more members of different races, age range and gender into the Nomination Review Committee instead of just ending all together it cause then it’ll just become another popularity contest/ award show. It wouldn’t be fair for the independent/ up and coming new artists wanting to be in consideration for this.

They should have thought of that before they pulled that shit with The Weeknd. Even your people who do not follow the Grammys that closely knew that it is outrageous

Eligibility period has been extended by one month. Recordings from September 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021 are eligible for nomination.
