I would not consider Arlo R&B at all?

I didn’t think so either but I saw that other person’s predictions and questioned myself.

Lana’s NFR couldn’t even make it into Pop Album and got into Album due to it being a committee pick. How the hell is she, with a less acclaimed and less popular album, gonna get into Album. Have some sense.

I agree, Lana is not propably happening. The timing last time was better for her.

6 pop albums LMFAO. They wanna see 8/8 pop albums if that’s possible. That pop bias is killing me.

Wait why would GD assume the grammys are biased towards pop? I mean it’s not like they’ve previously chosen 1989 over TPAB. Or 25 over Lemonade. Or even The Heist over every single other album nominated in that category based on how pop friendly it was.

Can someone please give me an actual reason for why assuming pop will be the most dominant genre is a bad idea? Because as of right now, I have ZERO problem predicting last years AOTY winner and Justin, who massively overperformed last year and currently has 3 top 10 hits, over Jazmine Sullivan, J. Cole and St. Vincent.

Some of your arguments are so funny. “Bieber and Ariana aren’t inescapabale”, I’m sure Kaleisdoscope EP wasn’t precisely inescapabale either.

Let’s start with Swift, she won AOTY with Folklore but the album you predict is basically Folklore Side B.

So in other words, we know for a fact they like Evermores style.

Critic scores are not that important when it comes to nominees but you gotta be inescapable for that.

    Source?

If you’re big pop record from a mainstream artist and want some Grammy on the bag, you gotta be very big, year defining big.

Under a straight vote loads of albums that were quite small have happened in BPVA, so no you don’t.

Don’t start with Lana Del Rey, they don’t like her.

Lana is very obviously getting zero nominations so no I won’t start with her.

Yeah i know the Grammy is racist  doesn’t like rap or even alternative albums but they wanna make that lineup is more diverse and not just 6 pop albums.

Can you give me one reason to expect a diverse lineup without a panel? Again, you just need to look at the past winners of the GF to realize it’s clearly going to to ran by pop.

Positions(album) spent 18 weeks top 10 on BB200, that’s one week less than Thank You Next. 7 Rings and TUN were obviously bigger hits, but it is not like Positions(song) and 34+35 were flops. They were smaller hits for Ariana and the album did great, but I also don’t see her in GF and it is ok.

The problem with people like J Cole is that they lack cross genre appeal. So while rap voters might check him off, I don’t see pop or rock voters doing so. Same thing applies to St Vincent.

I think Drake and Cardi would have a better shot just cuz of how pop-friendly they are.

At all. Because Positions definitely wasn’t underperforming.
