    Ariana hasn’t had a lukewarm era…until now.

My Everything has a lower metascore by 8 points so I’m very confused on what you’re going for here.
Like my god you guys are doing the most on Ariana right now. With her past 4 albums, the closest thing she’s had to a snub in pop would probably be Side to Side.

Ariana is getting all pop nods

I think she misses pop duo because her strongest contender is 34 35 (remix) which will need to beat KMM, since Doja is on both. Don’t see that happening and I have a hard time imagining MHLN gets in.

Positions is a very successful era, a low-key one, but still very successful

DW & Sweetener made MUCH more of an impact than Positions. It’s not nearly as big of an album or era for Ariana. Comparing the number of weeks on the charts is arbitrary when you consider their time of release. Positions didn’t have as much competition due to COVID.

This is factually and objectively false.

People on here tend to equate how well an album performed to the memorability of an album era and it’s evident when you say things like Sweetener was bigger than Positions.

No. Ariana submits hers and Doja submits hers. If they both get enough votes, Doja can have two nominations. Look at H.E.R.’s double rnb nomination last year. She had like five submissions in one category and two got in because she was on features.

No they changed the rules for pop duo last year.

It’s really weird because in some categories (like melodic rap perf and country duo) artists can get multiple noms but in others (like rap perf and pop duo) it’s limited to one. Really wish they’d just have a consistent rule across all categories but alas.

Omg I’m a fool. Thanks for the heads up!

So excited for new Lorde tonight. Sadly don’t think she’s going to be much of a contender though but we’ll see.

My favourite album of the year so far has been Collapsed In Sunbeams. I know it’s probably a long shot but it’d be cool to see Arlo Parks in BNA.
