I love Olivia Rodrigo but I don’t bury my head in the sand. Sophomore eras are tough. I have to say that I never thought that Alessia Cara and Megan Trainor would last for long. They don’t have the “it” factor. They never had a chance.

I agree, they’re a little complicated. But sophomore eras basically make or break a star. Michael Jackson had “Thriller”, Madonna “Like a Virgin”, more recent examples are Ariana with “My Everything”, etc.

It’s also not just about the numbers, it’s about the overall general public awareness, impact, etc. that shifts.

Taylor should also get writing credit on Walker Haye’s Fancy Like it pretty much has the same progression as London Boy! Omg The Lover album was so ahead of its time! 😭

Congratulations 12 Time Grammy Winner Taylor Swift!

Normani is expected to drop her anticipated single ‘Wild Side’ soon, as she has archived all of her IG posts and now the snippet only remains.

I remember a magazine interview a few weeks ago said that she was planning to drop her debut album by the end of Summer. Whether that actually happens or not is another question, but I do hope Wild Side is a hit. If so, I wonder if it’ll be submitted to pop or R&B? Based on the snippet, it sounds a lot more R&B than pop. Giving me Aaliyah vibes.

Billie’s documentary was really really good. It was shot and edited very well. And it was one of the few celebrity documentaries that didn’t feel contrived. You could tell that what was happening and Billie herself was authentic.

Might get dragged for this but Bo Burnham could lowkey be a WTF nominee in AOTY.

I’m totally devastated. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed. We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down.

When is the last time a Comedy record got in AOTY? Wouldn’t that be a first ?

Cheering on Normani but that snippet of music sounds so bland. Maybe I’ll be wrong but that doesn’t sound like a hit to me.

There’s rumours on Twitter that it has a feature. If it’s a big name then maybe it’ll do well and could be BPDGP contender. My first thought was a potential Ariana collab?

A feature can certainly help lead to success on the charts and at the Grammys but the song itself still has to mostly work. Hopefully it does. Ariana loves Normani so even if she isn’t on this song I expect her to show up on Normani’s Album.
